House beer for Ravintola Vanha, Helsinki. During the Summer 2008 the recipe changed, and in Autumn 2008 they will go back to the old recipe.

Draught at Vanhan Kuppila, Helsinki, Finland.
Clear golden colour with big white head. Grassy bitterish aroma with some berries. Flavour is grass, slightly papery with bitter hops and strong strange berriness. Good Pilsener.

Draught. Weak citric aroma, hint of Belgian yeast. Hazy golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour starts off quite bready, then turns yeasty in the good old Belgian way. Quite mild, like a mixture between a blonde and a pils. Quite refreshing.

Draught. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, very sweet nectary and grassy, Flavour is grassy, parfumeish, hoppy (flowery and fruity) and very dry, yet very refreshing.

Keg (Vanha, Helsinki)
Slightly hazy orange, large icecream float head. Hoppy fruity aroma, fleshy fruits, perhaps peach - very Belgian. Sweet malty taste, a bit grainy and slightly vegetably, decent tangy hops, and a touch of ginger. Fizzy in the mouth. Soft fruity hoppy finish. My guess is that this punches at about 4.5%, so it’s probably in reality 6.5% :-)
