UPDATED: FEB 7, 2008 courtesy of oh6gdx - hazy reddish-brown colour with a solid beige foam; solid aroma of cinnamon with some caramel underneath; highly carbonated, medium-bodied, tart and bitter; short and dry aftertaste of biscuit and cinnamon - smells like Christmas

330ml bottle (from Finland) @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. Mid brown colour. Sweetish and fruity with some subtle spices. Entirely forgettable. Presumably a watered down version to allow it to be sold outside Alko stores. Drinkable but just seems thin and a bit weedy. Sweet, spiced and thin is not a winning combination for me. No best before date but I think the bottle was getting on a bit so that may not have helped.

330ml bottle picked up at the K-Supermarket Kamppi in Helsinki. Dark-brown body, slightly unclear. Patchy, off-white head. Credit for the nice label illustration. Subdued malt-spicy aroma. Brown malts with cinnamon in flavour followed by bitter spices towards the end. Drinkable without further excitements (hotel room, Helsinki 06.02.2011).

Bottle 330ml. @ ChrisOs - Christmas Tasting.

Clear medium amber color with a huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted - caramel, spicy, cinnamon, christmas spices. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101228]

Bottle. Dark brown, short and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish aroma (pepper, cinnamon and glove). Body is medium, malty and dryish flavor, sharp spiciness. Finish is average, malty and dryish, sharp spiciness. Dryish and sharply spiced ale, quite one-dimensional.

33cl bottle. Brown color with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly spicy, malty, bit odd really. Thin body, flavor cinnamon, malt and sugar. Not really something I would try again.

ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Clear amber beer, big tan head. Light palate. Low carbonation but still slightly crisp. Sweet malt with some subservient fruit - strawberries and generic fruit. Finishes dry. Okay.

Pours slightly hazy brown with a medium head. Aroma is malts and some spices. Flavor is quite watery with malts and christmasy spices. Drinkable but rather boring.

Bottle at Chriso NY Tasting 2010. Very deep amber. Thick lasting beige. Some fruit and spice on aroma. Some fruit salad sweetness in mouth. Bit of dryness on end. Bit too sweet.

330 ml bottle @ home. Rated @ 22.2.2010.
Pours a brown colour with a small creamy head. Aroma of mild spices and caramel. Christmas-like flavour of spices such as cinnamon, caramel malts and chocolate. Medium bodied with watery mouthfeel. Average.

Reddish, hazy brown with subtle spicy aroma and taste. Not as chistmassy as I thought it would be.
