courtesy of oh6gdx - cloudy reddish-brown colour with a firm and persistant beige foam leaving a nice lace; heavily spicy aroma showing strong notes of cloves and cinnamon; herbs and orange; very fine carbonation, sweet and medium to full-bodied, very tart palate and a respectable bitterness; long spicy finish with notes of gingerbread - not bad though a bit chemical
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 FatPhil (7597) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 13, 2007
330ml bottle. Not an ideal sauna beer, but we had no choice. (Tasted with Tranquility). The light aroma is welcome, but the floweriness is perhaps out of place. Odd taste, hard to categorise. Not bad, but not great either.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 gnoff (6374) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUL 8, 2008

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 sayravai (4654) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 1, 2006
(Bottled) Very hazy, dark ruby red color with a smallish, but tight and creamy, tanned, lasting and lacy head. Strong aroma of cloves, oranges, and some chocolatey malt. Slightly sour. Orange-spicy, yeasty flavor with smooth, sweetish maltiness and some hops in the background. Dryish ashiness in the finish with hints of orangeish acidity. Medium-bodied, soft palate with smooth carbonation. A bit too spicy, but quite smooth, full and enjoyable brew. Way better than the diluted 4.5% version, and without the ginseng feel. I could actually drink one of these on Xmas eve.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Miksu (4570) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - DEC 8, 2006
0,33 l bottle. Ruby color with thick tan head. Strong cinnamon aroma with notes of clove and caramel. Strong cinnamon and ginger flavor giving long woody finish. Sweetish and rather thick. Brings to mind some chinese sauces. The spices are over the top, but this get better towards the end. I guess it takes some time to get used to the spices.
