Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a moderate white head. Little bit of floral notes to the nose. Very light and some hints of citrus to the taste.

Pale blond color. Aroma and flavor are very light; the mouthfeel is expectedly dry; ordinary bitterness; it doesn’t have malt or hop qualities.
Ale or Lager, this is uninteresting.

dry esrty, a touch of wood, ligh fruit, but not citrusy. Very light. Well balanced. Great summer beer.

22 oz bottle, light golden color, straw-like doughy, malty aroma. Very little lacing on glass. Taste is bitter and light, refreshing finish with mild aftertaste. Good blonde ale.

A: Pours a lighter straw color, with average clarity. The eggshell color head has good retention/lacing. S: Lemon, bread, and a strange sweet note that reminds me of candy corn. Perhaps a touch of diacetyl too. T: Again, there’s a note of lemon and grain on the opening. Near the finish, it almost gets a bit dish soapy in flavor. Also features hints of buttery diacetyl in parts that detracts even more. Very, very mediocre overall. M: The carbonation is surprisingly restrained. The body is thin but weirdly sticky near the end, and it just isn’t as refreshing as it could be. O: Eh, not very good, but not entirely undrinkable. Huge props to Jay for giving me a taste of this, but there are way too many good beers out there to bother giving this a second shot.

Tampa, Fl - Total Wine - 22 oz bomber. Medium golden pour, bubbly snow-white head. Faint aroma, pick up some grassy notes, a touch of wet paper bag. Flavor is pleasant but not very forthcoming. Light spiciness, a hint of citrus bitterness, some grassiness. Mouthfeel is clean and fresh. Refreshing to say the least. Brings back memories of visiting this brewpub back in 2003.

22oz bottle. Golden color, for sure. Tall white head, fed from the heavy cascade of champagne like carbonation. Aroma of a Pale Lager, loads of hay, pale malts, straw basket scent, all with a touch of Fritos. Herbal hop character, light bodied. Malt taste is light, full of straw/hay, faint grain, mostly pale malted barley. Finishes with a grassy, herbal essence from the hop. Kinda reminds me of [sipping] my father’s beer during the late 70s. (3255)

Shared with Strykzone via Facebook Chat, This poured a cloudy orange gold with a good size white head and really robust lacing rings. The nose was floral hops and light fruit. Medium in body and very smooth and soft in mouthfeel. The flavor was very tasty with the same flowers and fruit as the aroma. A very easy to drink beer which I enjoyed a great deal.

22 oz. bottle from Hayduke. We shared one via facebook chat. This poured hazy golden and had some white foam that left a nice tat work lacing. The word here is soft. The nose was soft fruit. The flavor was also soft fruit with yeast and a bit of pepper. All of it soft. The feel was kind of like a cream ale which is, yes, soft. The fruit was passion fruit. This was nice and a flavorful beer with a low ABV is always special.

Picked up because it was a cheap introduction to Diamond Knot I am not overly impressed. To be fair though if this is their worst release (as it is kind of difficult to set the world on fire with a golden ale) then they have some skill. Regardless the $2.99 I paid for the bomber was about the right price for a basic lawnmower beer with little depth.

Aroma / Appearance - The huge gushing head was a little distracting. Eventually it settled into a golden base the color of fresh lemons. Corn chips, lemon wedges, and ivory soap were hard to find enthusiasm for but at least it was mostly inoffensive.

Flavor / Palate - Lemon rinds, oak chips, and a light Nestea-like bitterness tickle the tongue briefly. Soon though the entire profile fades on the back of the throat with hardly a reminder of what just happened. If you were on a tight budget there are worse options. I’m willing to give Diamond Knot another look but my expectations are slightly lower than before.
