COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is a beautiful deep amber/brown in color, reminiscent of the most noblest of not only American, but also Bristish Browns. The complex malty flavor comes from the 6 distinct grains that make up the grain bill. Add a Willamette hop finish, and you get a brew that compliments any occasion.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of riversideAK. Thanks! Pours a clear dark brown tinted red color with a voluminous tan head that lasts forever. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, chalk, some fruity notes and something a tad bit tart. Taste is nuts, chocolate, coffee, caramel and tart green apple with a bitter hoppy finish. Medium bodied and smooth. A possible faint infection but it doesn’t detract much.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours medium dark amber with a creamy beige head. Smells of bready caramel. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is bready, lightly roasted caramel with some astringency. Something like citrus hop follows. Quite tasty. Much smoother than many browns.

A: Poured with a small, off-white head. Body is dark brown and mostly clear... a very slight amount of haze is present. S: Malts come through as a roasted (or event burnt) coffee smell, and some hints of chocolate as well. T: Kind of your basic brown flavors... roasted malt and coffee, but they’re both pretty light and not really jumping out to set themselves apart from the rest of the pack. Still, very decent. M: Medium-bodied and creamy, with soft-to-average carbonation. D: Very easy to drink, but I was expecting a little more. Worth trying at least once, but there’s a lot of better browns to try.

I was expecting quite a bit more malt character and instead received a clean and crisp brown ale with very little english yeast character. Medium body and light in flavor this brown ale showcases a fairly exuberant malt bill for an almost monotone flavor profile. Also showcased similar metallic aftertaste that was experienced with other beers from DK. A below-average session ale that could use more malt complexity.

I know browns are not supposed to have a lingering aftertaste, this one is gone rights away. Very smooth, light in body. No flavor "settle out" like with most easy drinking darks.

On tap at Lincoln Ave brewpub. Chocolaty brown with fluffy whitish head. Slight aroma of sweet cocoa. Taste is nutty and smooth. A decent brown with medium body and a smooth finish.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours a light brown, hints of ruby. Light tan head. Very nice roasted nut aroma, but not much else. Sweet, but well balanced bitterness. Mild and not complex.
