COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is a beautiful deep amber/brown in color, reminiscent of the most noblest of not only American, but also Bristish Browns. The complex malty flavor comes from the 6 distinct grains that make up the grain bill. Add a Willamette hop finish, and you get a brew that compliments any occasion.

Clear, darkish brown with a thin white head. Aroma is nutty with a bit of caramel... nothing extreme. Taste is the same, with a strong bitterness into the finish. $6/22oz

Pours a clear dark brownish red with a thin head and slight lace. Head dissipates to a thin haze over the top of the beer. Smells a tad roasty with big oats and potatoes. Some slight metallic smells. Taste has some caramel on the front, with a toasty midpalate and a burnt flavor on the back of the tongue. No hop flavor, but a slight bitterness at the end. Almost a garlic/onion flavor. I’m guessing DMS.

Couleur ambre, mousse beige.

2010-07-01. Crisp brown body, modest beige head. 3+ Flavour is milder and more dilute than expected. Malt is nice at first but finishes grainy rather than toasty brown ale character one might expect. Modest aroma, touches of a nice caramel character over a tangy grainy malt profile. Average palate. Bit odd. On tap at Diamond Knot, Mukilteo

[3053-20100701] Tap. Mild grains aroma. Clear, cola amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Little roasty bread malt flavour. Medium-full body. Drinkable but nothing wowy.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of riversideAK. Thanks! Pours a clear dark brown tinted red color with a voluminous tan head that lasts forever. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, chalk, some fruity notes and something a tad bit tart. Taste is nuts, chocolate, coffee, caramel and tart green apple with a bitter hoppy finish. Medium bodied and smooth. A possible faint infection but it doesn’t detract much.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours medium dark amber with a creamy beige head. Smells of bready caramel. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is bready, lightly roasted caramel with some astringency. Something like citrus hop follows. Quite tasty. Much smoother than many browns.
