3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
22 ounce bottle - $4.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a hazed, relatively dark brown body with a modestly-sized, suds, off-white head.
Smell: Notes of spicy-scented dried herbs and a slim helping of slices of apricot overlayed with scents of toasted grains and roasted nuts.
Taste: Roasty, toasty, charred nut maltiness, but not particularly complex. Very small, lightly sweet hint of brown sugar along with a tangy apricot fruitiness on the front end. Hops providing an earthy black pepper-like spiciness and backing of dried herbs and a noted bitterness. Drying, spicy, earthy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Simple and reasonably satisfactory as far as brown ales go, though, by no means a home run for me, as there is a whole host of browns Iíd reach for over this.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Received via trade with Hayduke with whom I shared it via Facebook chat. This beer pours a nice clear medium brown. Sort of a dark tea. A nice creamy light tan head leaves some sticky lacing. Nose is full of malt and some citrus fruit. A bit of roasted note and some spice, too. Flavor begins as the nose but slowly hops move forward. By the end this is much like a pale ale with nice hops that are far from over done, and a malty base. It was fun to have this brown morph into a pale ale. This is a subtle beer. Nothing is huge and nothing is over done. It is very interesting and a fun beer to taste. Thanks Ron!

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
The aroma is not right for a brown ale it has a touch of chocolate and toasted malt but itís also tart and just off in general. The appearance is light brown with a small head. The taste is like the aroma and itís not good. The palate is thin but OK. Overall this is a bad beer.

Take a look at this oneís rates, it has sour/infection issues. That said, it isnít so horrendous if you are unaware of such things. Unfiltered red--orange body. Monstrous steady infected head. I gave up after a few sips. Just off, very disappointing.

650ml bottle pours brown in color with 2 fingers of off-white head that leaves a slight trace of lacing on the glass. Aroma is lightly toasted malts and some earthy hops. Taste is malty sweet with some chocolate and an earthy bitter finish that ends slightly sour. Maybe this one was just starting to turn bad. Medium body and carbonation. This was a nice brown ale until the sourness in the finish and may have scored higher.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a bomber. Very nice bready aroma. Pour is rather foamy. Lots of co2 on the buds. Big beefy flavor is mellowed by the sizzle in this beer. Seems a tad wild. Yes, bitter fer sure with an alky kick but that co2 is kick ass. Foam continues on top of the beer. Lingering hop bitter finish for quite a while. Zippy.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nutty aroma with caramel undertones. Clear brown , thin yellow head, good lacing. Tart and grainy, nice roasty character, but the astringency is a turn-off. Itís ok.
