Dark orange, brown maybe. Buttery nose and flavor... with some flavors of burnt peaches and bread crust coming through. Also some light hop bite near the finish.

PorterPounder (4111) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 18, 2003
Had on tap at the brewpub in Mukilteo - great place. Light copper in appearance; slight pleasant malty aroma. Has a decent white head which diminshes quickly - a wee bit of lacing. good solid bitter flavor - would make a good session ale. Good trailing hop bitterness in the finish.

Suttree (3927) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2003
Brown, with some Orange around the edges. Beige Head. Buttery aroma, and buttery texture that would be off putting in some beers but seems to fit here. Smoooooove finish.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 10/20
baobubba (455) - Starkville, Mississippi, USA - JAN 21, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2003 The hop flavor and aroma combines with the cherry aroma to create this cough syrup like aroma that is a bit of a turn off. Quite sweet with a pleasant bitter finish.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 4, 2003
Dark amber; toasty earthy aroma w/ sweet peaches, raspberry; palate shows caramel, light peach, earthy hop, slight pine. A little yeast flourish like a true British ale lends authenticity.
