UPDATED: JUL 20, 2007 Enjoyed this one on draught at the brewpub in Mukilteo, WA. Pours to a slightly hazy, deep amber color, with a tight white head, and a soft carbonation. The nose on this beer is really nice, with good aromas of "tea like" hops, estery fruity aroma, and some sweet malt. The palate is soft and fruity, with lots of good "jammy" fruity estery flavors, paired with good sweet, and biscuity malt flavor. This beer finishes with more good fruity and malty flavors up front, then ends with some tea like and herbal hop bitterness that rounds out the fruity/malty character of this beer. Very flavorful, very drinkable ESB, with tons of character. Great pint.

draft @ brewery - clear and reddish brown; slight white head; nose a little on the weak side, but aromas of dry malt and sugar; pretty tasty with a sweet finish; overall, on the sweet side for an ESB, but i like that and thought this was great

Thin layer of cream head on a copper beer. Lots of lacing. Warm vanilla aroma. Very drinkable malty beer with a nice amount of hops to round it off.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours ruddy amber with a creamy beige head. Floral aroma over a caramel backdrop. Med body. Nice mild roast caramel backbone with a lot of earthy/flroal hop. Died and gone to England.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear nut brown. Medium dry with gentle rounded mouthfeel. There’s some roasty malt and notes of butter. Salty, spicy bitter finish. A solid effort.

Cask at DK. Pours clear amber with a white ring of foam. Nuts, pine and peach in the taste. Dry and spicy finish. Pretty solid example of the style.

On draught at the brewpub in Mukilteo, Washington. Pours a clear dark copper amber brew with a thick creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, some light fruit, dry iced tea hops with some light biscuit in the background. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt, dry leafy hops and some fruity character. Finish is semi-dry, mildly bitter with some metallic texture. Almost identical to the Irish ale except with some mild bitterness.

Typical esb flavor but much more rounded and more tasty. Light caramel color with a very nice, balanced bitter note. A little lighter body than I prefer but definitely a good esb.

Had on tap at the brewpub in Mukilteo - great place. Light copper in appearance; slight pleasant malty aroma. Has a decent white head which diminshes quickly - a wee bit of lacing. good solid bitter flavor - would make a good session ale. Good trailing hop bitterness in the finish.

Dark amber; toasty earthy aroma w/ sweet peaches, raspberry; palate shows caramel, light peach, earthy hop, slight pine. A little yeast flourish like a true British ale lends authenticity.
