Draught at Brouwer’s Cafe. Asked the server if this is a lager, and he said no. Someone got it wrong then. Big sweet and hoppy beer. Orange and tangy.

Washington Brewers Festival 2011 – Kenmore, WA
Brown with a hint of orange in color, clear with a thin head. Lots of spice in the aroma with a deep malt following. There is a peppery and clove like flavor and finish with this brew. Nice flavorful big Imperial Pils. Great malts and hops this was big and tasty.

Draft at the front st. Pours a clear but very dark brown with golden edges. Dense creamy tan head with tons of sheeting lace. Beautiful. Big deep brown bread nose. Nice clovey notes with black pepper. Unusual. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Caramel, brown bread, cloves, black pepper, and a bit of resin on the mid palate. Interesting experiment...maybe worth keeping around. Probably too dry a finish for mass appeal.
