(Draught) Sampled at Brouwer’s in Seattle. Lasting tan head with a lightly carbonated deep orange body. Nose of creamed vanilla, sweet candy cane malt and strong hops. Smooth, malty, wooden and tart oranges. Toasted malt finish. Very good.

Had this on tap at the Diamond Knot pub. A hazy brown color. Excellent aroma: lots of citrus and floral and some pine, aswell. Not to the level of pine resin in Ruination, but just about the right level - not overpowering. Nice long finish with a great after taste. Doesn’t coat the tongue the way some DIPAs do.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
GABF 2006. Slightly hazy golden body. Aroma is NW hops, light sweetness and funkiness. Taste is stong bittering hops, rich maltiness. Long, lingering bitter hop finish. A little watery. Well brewed IPA, not dominated by over the top hops.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft... GABF ’06... Mostly clear, golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Aroma of PNW hops; grapefruit and pine with a rumor of mandarin orange. Solid malt backbone holds up nicely to the onslaught of bittering hops. Well-balanced like many PNW IPAs. Medium-bodied with restrained carbonation. Lengthy, moderately bitter finish.

straw colored pour w/ a full off white head and nice lacing. Nice grassy hop aroma some light fruits and a little carmel. Palate is pretty average. Flavor is a nicely bitter one w/ a good amount of carmel. Lots of citrus peels and a light piney finish. A very mellow and fairly small IIPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
GABF 2006. On my want list for some time now. Disappointing. The beer pours to a glowing golden body with a creamy white head. The aroma is grassy, piney, sprucey. The flavor is richly grassy and piney with sweet caramel malts. The palate is very bitter, lightly resiny, medium bodied.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2006 On draft at the brewery. Pours an amber color with a decent whitish head. Aroma is full of hops! Smelling floral hops, grapefruit, and pine. Flavor is excellent, a step up from their regular IPA. You can definitely taste the increase in IBUs. An excellent brew. I feel so lucky to be just down the road from this place!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the 74th St. Pours deep burnished amber, toward a brownish color. Moderate white head and super-sticky aggressive lace. Surprisingly mild nose of fruity (orange) hop. Strong malt backbone but really buried under a mountain of sharply bitter spicy earthy hops. Almost finishes the way a tomato plant smells in the sun, with that tangy bitterness. Killer food beer, especially with spicy food.

On tap at the brewery. Coppor colour with light haze. Peach/stonefruit nose. Tasty, fruity IPA that actually seems slightly undercarbonated. Full body with a light malt finish. Wish they sold it in a bomber..
