3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Almost indistinguishable from the standard IPA = Not much additional malt, more of a dry hopped profile. Very floral with an astringent, oily hop flower finish.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2007 On Tap - Hilltop Ale House, Diamond Knot Brewery, Old Towne Ale House. This is a transformational ale. Tread lightly with this powerful brew. This IPA is very close to the heart of the standard of the northwest style. I canít find a brew like this anywhere else in the country. Best of breed for sure.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2007 Draft at Taphouse Grill in Seattle. Pours orange amber with an off white retentive head. Aroma of spicy hops. Initial flavor is heavy on malt, with notes of caramel and toasted grains. Mid palate has hints of orange with a strong dry hopped resiny bitterness. Finish is slightly dry, woody, with a strong herbal (sage, mint, pine) bitterness. Not bad, but I am not the biggest fan of the Columbus hop..

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a large sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated golden brown colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy and dirty sock. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of cascade hops and orange peel. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Amber with an average head with good lacing. Nutty malt with orange and pine - very nice bitterness that lingers on the back of the tongue. A very nice IPA that I found enjoyable.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at the Diamond Knot Brewery back on 06Jul2007. This double IPA (or xIPA as DK calls it) is good stuff. Nice darker amber color with a creamy head. Good malt sweetness that gets covered by a hop flavor that is very strong but not killer bitter (is there such a thing?). I really like this beer. It has such a creamy body and just had a great hop finish. Nice piny, citrus, herb flavors in the hops. I had 4 of these after I rated it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber with red hints and a frothy head. Sheet lacing. Musty aroma of citrus and bitterness. A bit of roast and a hint of woodiness. Oranges and malts being toast and roast. Bitter, malty finish.
