3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft at the alehouse in mukateo.
Nice bronze color. Piney hop aroma. Taste is like a dozen other iipas, but done very well. Nice example of an Imperial done right.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Harvest Foods in Moses Lake. Deep amber with silky beige head. Malt dominates the aroma, nice caramelly scent. Malt also provides most of the flavor, with some hops at the end drying the whole thing out. Close to an English IPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sweet and biscuit malts meet big citrus and pine hops. Better than the standard IPA - still just in the ok range.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle into glass. Pours a semi-clear amber with a two finger white head. Smells fairly standard, nothing special found in the aroma. Really, really nice flavor on this one. Strong malt balanced well with strong hops. Just the right sweetness and perfect bitterness. Scores highest where it counts the most.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Total Wine in Fort Myers. If you’re expecting a heavy hitting hop bomb with this double ipa this ain’t your brew. Hops are a little one dimensional, more for bitterness than hop heavy flavour. Malts are too drenched in honey. Regardless, I like it & will drink this with joy.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Pours a copper with a beige head and aroma of hops and resin. Taste is bitter, with resin, hops, pine, and caramel leading to a dry, bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
With Z, over pasta with a homemade pesto sauce, pours a dark orange rusty pour with a small beige head. Nose is bitter citrus, with pine and resin . Taste is more of a bitter hard pine and resin. Finishes on the same tasting notes with a bitter resinous ending. Quaff Score 7 / 10

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow to light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit, apricot), lightly yeasty (dough), with a light note of celery. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent, moderately alcoholic. Fairly ordinary but pleasant enough for the style...kinda restrained for DIPA actually. A bit doughy like the other DK brews I tried (IPA and Fog Bank), and milder hop nose than expected (like the IPA)...a touch vegetal too. Ok overall but underwhelming.
