kmweaver (1574), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Apr 12, 2008 Growler, courtesy of after4ever. Thanks, Tom! Pours a gorgeous appearance: clear, bright golden-orange color; fluffy, textured off-white head with excellent and lacing that sticks to the glass; intricate and resilient. Soft, juicy hop oils (earthiness, fruit, and cedar) in the aroma; a touch of what I can only call "dustiness" creeping in; very solid hop character otherwise; nothing rough. A soft level of carbonation with smooth hop oils in the mouthfeel, making this very very drinkable: earthy and citrusy hops; juicy and resinous and generous; excellent, sessionable IPA; I still get a touch of dustiness in the finish, with some toasted grains and breadiness; a soft end to a smooth IPA. Beershine (1008), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Feb 28, 2008 Color is amber meets lemonade and they get along. Smell is pure hop and grain and the flavors are equally clean and balanced. Yummy. theisti (892), Leawood, Kansas, USA Feb 14, 2008 Draft at brewery in Muklilteo, WA. Pour slight haze orange-yellow with a white head. Aroma of some piney hoppiness. Taste is a big hop resin pine primarily, with some citrus peel bitterness mixed in - there’s some malt but certainly its in the background. Really fresh tasting IPA, and a delight to be able to try it. skoisirius (331), Seattle, Washington, USA Feb 11, 2008 Draught multiple times. A damn good IPA from right around the greater Seattle area. Balanced aromas and flavors. Lots of pine throughout the nose and flavor as well. I’d be stoked to see this in bottles! hopdog (4201), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 25, 2008 Thanks to TomDecapolis for sharing this one from a Growler (I can take it off my wish list!). Poured a medium and lightly hazy golden color with a small sized head. Aromas of pine, citrus, pine cones, floral, and a trace of caramel. Tastes of citrus, floral, pine, and caramel.
