Matt from 3R6P brought this one to a beer gathering. Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a small foamy beige head that faded quickly. The aroma was dry, citric, perfumey and floral. The flavor was sour caramel, floral hops and light notes of perfume, citrus and nut. Dryish and a bit off - almost sulfuric. The finish was long with sour caramel and floral hops lingering. Medium body. Eh.

Bottle. When I first joined RB, this was one of the top rated beers. Maybe it should be.......on tap. But in the bottle, its mediocre at best. Pours out pretty nice; usual IPA qualities that have been said about 55,000,000 times on this site. Reminds me of a slightly stronger version of SNPA. Nothing special here..

Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of light bread, roasted and caramel, hop notes of pine, grapefruit and orange peel, light soap for the yeast, with hints of dried fruit like apricot. Head is average size, fizzy, white with some slippery lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is clear amber. flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, dry with a soft carbonation and a lightly astringent finish. The complex hop aroma in this is excellent, but the flavor could have a touch more depth for me to call it a truly superb IPA.

Pours with a white head and a honey brown body, great fruity aroma and citrusy up from with just enough of a finishing bitterness to make it a really balanced and satisfying IPA. I think this is an every season beer and should go well with most foods that have a little fat and salt. Definitely "True to Style" as the description boasts.

Bottle. Amber bodied with a tall, fluffy blond-tinged head. Aroma is spicy hops, citrus fruit, soft nuttiness and light caramel. Hint of honey as well. Taste is spicy hops, earthy notes, sweet malt, light honey, soft caramel and citrus. Body is medium with a bubbly, moderate carbonation. Finishes with more spicy hops, citrus fruit, pear, light caramel and sweet malt.

Reminds me of mid-west IPA. Malty, not that hoppy. Although I do pick up some west coast grapefruit flavors. Overall pretty mild flavors.

22oz bomber from total wine in greenville and norfolk. pours a clear, orange-copper with a thick, rocky, off-white head and light lacing. aroma is very nice with fresh, grassy hops, orange peel, lemon zest, and light pine esters with a hint of earth. flavor is quite tasty as well with citrus hop notes of orange and grapefruit backed by grassy, herbal notes with a touch of light malts on the back end. palate is medium bodied with high carbonation and smooth bitterness. overall, a solid ipa.
