Bottle courtesy of Jan & Charlotte, many thanks! consumed in Frank (camper) in a sloping campsite field close to cliff edge, Nr Looe Cornwall, 24.12.11 Pours gold with a slim white head. There is a good aroma in that typically American IPA way. This is a touch too sweet for me, hoppy with a touch of pine and bitter but not bitter or hoppy enough, I struggle a little with the heavy blanket of sweetness. Once again, big thanks to Jan & Charlotte for this beer. A7 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottle. Yellow/amber color with a big eggshell-white head. The nose is very sweet - grapefruit, lemon, honey, apples, grass. The taste is light and sweet, quite floral. The finish is moderately bitter and dry. Slightly medicinal. The palate is light, the carbonation lively. The texture slightly oily. Overall, a pretty good IPA with some very nice features.

22 oz. bottle- Pours brownish orange with a nice off white head. The aroma is citrusy hops, bitter, resinous, syrupy. The taste is hoppy, pungent resin hops, caramel malt. Body is medium, carbonation is also medium. Overall loved the pungent resinous flavors, but I think the malt weighs the beer down a bit, I like my IPA’s a little less balanced.

Bottle @ De Molen 2nd tuesday tasting extravaganzza! Aroma is lemony citrus and other fruits, some caramel malt in the background. Flavour is a subtle hop bitterness, some bread/biscuit and caramel. Nice balance, medium dry. Highly drinkable.

Hazy orange with good white head. Aroma is hop, citrusfruits and flowers. Taste likewise with some additional honey sweetness and some bitterness. Medium to fullbodied, good carbo.

Orange to golden with foamy white head. Rich floral flavour but surely balanced for sure. Some pine even. Malty base here. Smooth bitterness. Malt does wonders here to provide a good body and smooth palate. Aftertaste a bit disappointing. Good overall. (At De Molen tasting)

Bottle at the first monthly beer tasting @ De Molen hosted by dEnk. Almost clear golden pour, huge white head. Aroma is floral, citrus, some pine and a bit chemical. Flavor is floral bitter, slightly chemical, but nicely balanced. Very nice IPA.

Bomber. Bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. This was supposed to be Washington state IPA #3 last night but I fell asleep, so here we go, a day late. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a medium cream-colored head with great retention; leaves decorative lacework. Aroma is pine, peach, cotton candy. Taste is sweet and bitter but maybe not as bitter as the other two in this comparison. Carbonation is average and the body is medium. Very solid; much better than the Fremont. Similar in quality, yet definitely different than the Iron Horse.
