Copper tinted body. Some caramel and toast. Doughy and a bit sour. Really not much to say about this one.

Crisp, slightly hazy copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall off-white head with a nice amber glow - very nice looking and perfect for the style. Aroma of pale malt, nice fresh and light (perhaps German) hops with a bit of a lemony freshness and a hint of caramelised sugars at the end. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic malty notes at first with a good dose of light hops in the mix, some lemons and citrus, a bit of caramel and a light grassy and nuttiness to finish it off. Aftertaste shows a good malty kick, but little else, however - it is very muted and doesn’t show any offensive bitterness or alcohol warmth at the end. Overall, a nice beer for the style - light and crisp with the maltiness hitting home first. Good to sample to get a good representation of the style and great if you like this style a lot! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 07-November-2012 for US$3.99 sampled at home in Washington after returning from Washington State earlier in the day on 12-January-2013.

Amber pour with a khaki head. Nose is sweet bread and toasted malt, a bit of cardboard, some orange peel, and an interesting fruity character. Esters, perhaps? Tastes of caramel, bread, and toast. Some cardboard, orange peel, grass, and sweet fruits. Just kind of sweet and not much else going on.

650ml bomber pours a pale amber color with a finger of white head that leaves some thin spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains with some hints of caramel and light fruits. Taste is a light fruity and grainy malty sweetness with a light grassy hop bitterness. Light to medium body with some decent carbonation. A nicely done brew for the style and quite refreshing and flavorful.

Apple aroma, light bodied amber Vienna with grainy malt flavor, and sour aftertaste. Paired with Danish Blue and Philly Soft Pretzel the thin palate of the Vienna was evident. I picked up a bomber @ Total Wine Claymont, De for about five bucks, deduct a two dollars and I believe we have come to a fair price for a bomber.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a moderate white frothy head. Slight, yet malty nose to this. Taste is also malty, like a fermented cereal. Meh.

Bottle. Copper pour with a short, foamy white head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel and dark bread with soft, spicy hops. Taste is spicy hops, caramel, dark bread and soft berry/fruit notes. Body is light-medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Ends with more spicy hops, soft fruit, caramel, dark bread and malt notes.

Pours golden color, low head, aroma is light malt. Flavor is crisp clean malt, not sweet not thin. There is some hop bitterness and just a touch of malt complexity in there to keep make this a reasonably satisfying beer. Among lagers, this works for me pretty well, and I would buy it again.

glennmastrange (2287) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Bottle. Moderate cereal and nutty for the malt, light orange and dough for the hops and yeast, with cardboard and faint dried dark fruit in the background. Head is small, fizzy turning creamy, beige with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy, light orangey-brown. Flavor starts moderately acidic and a bit salty, then finishes lightly acidic and faintly bitter. Palalte is medium, watery with a soft carbonation. Smells nice, complex but there is not a lot of flavor in this Vienna.
