3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a orange/amber color with a pretty thick white head, slowly dissipating. Aroma is a bit on the sweet pale malts side, flavor is also a bit unrefined but drinkable.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bomber from Hayduke. We had a bottle together via facebook chat. This poured cloudy tea colored and had a nice off white fluffy head. Some light fruit and malt in the nose. The flavor is much too sour as if it were over hopped. That sourness is pervasive. Some light fruit, malt, and spices are tasted but the sourness cannot become overcome.

Taster – Diamond Knot Brewery – Mukilteo, WA
Good color, clarity with good aroma. The beer was rich with flavor and had a nice dry finish this was a ice beer to start with at Diamond Knot. Perfect for a hot day this was a nice lager with great malts and hops.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Crisp, slightly hazy copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall off-white head with a nice amber glow - very nice looking and perfect for the style. Aroma of pale malt, nice fresh and light (perhaps German) hops with a bit of a lemony freshness and a hint of caramelised sugars at the end. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic malty notes at first with a good dose of light hops in the mix, some lemons and citrus, a bit of caramel and a light grassy and nuttiness to finish it off. Aftertaste shows a good malty kick, but little else, however - it is very muted and doesn’t show any offensive bitterness or alcohol warmth at the end. Overall, a nice beer for the style - light and crisp with the maltiness hitting home first. Good to sample to get a good representation of the style and great if you like this style a lot! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 07-November-2012 for US$3.99 sampled at home in Washington after returning from Washington State earlier in the day on 12-January-2013.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
A light aroma of something that I can’t identify, but don’t really like. First sip has some hops right away, than malt and very tinny finish that is quite bad. Not that good.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bomber pours a pale amber color with a finger of white head that leaves some thin spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains with some hints of caramel and light fruits. Taste is a light fruity and grainy malty sweetness with a light grassy hop bitterness. Light to medium body with some decent carbonation. A nicely done brew for the style and quite refreshing and flavorful.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
22 ounce bottle - $3.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Ever so slightly hazed, amber-orange body with a smallish, frothy (for the time it’s around), white head.
Smell: Homemade apricot jam spread over lightly toasted bread and biscuit tops and a teeny tiny sprinkling of herbs and old dried lemon peel.
Taste: Bready malts forward with some slight chewiness to them, gaining some biscuit-tasting momentum, while delivering a scant caramel sweetness. It has that tangy apricot fruitiness noted from their other brews. Minutely herbal, dully citrus-hinting hops with sufficient bitterness to balance. Drying, tangy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Certainly a non-traditional Vienna, what with it’s ale yeast strain producing a scorching case of fruitiness that starts to become grating after awhile.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
22oz Bottle shared with no one, drank on 7th July 2014 at mt daughters place in Newport Beach CA. Not like any other ’Vienna Style Ale’ I have come across before. Poured a hazy orange with a scummy white head, the sediment keen to get out the bottle. Slight malty sweetness followed by a sour off-ish sort of aroma and taste: infected yeast or something? Tried to enjoy it, but failed.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
22oz bottle. Hazy, light brown color, big bubbles/fast moving carbonation. Light tan head. Aroma of yuck, infection. There is some cereal in the nose, but mostly sour apple. Some tart flavor, distant bread. Definite infection. Finishes with a toasted malt essence, harsh earthy bitter tannin-like character. Too bad, I was really craving a full flavored, toasted Lager tonight. (3256)
