22oz Bottle shared with no one, drank on 7th July 2014 at mt daughters place in Newport Beach CA. Not like any other ’Vienna Style Ale’ I have come across before. Poured a hazy orange with a scummy white head, the sediment keen to get out the bottle. Slight malty sweetness followed by a sour off-ish sort of aroma and taste: infected yeast or something? Tried to enjoy it, but failed.

22 oz bottle. Pours dull gold with a thin white head. Aroma is malty, bread, crackers, slight cocoa powder, slight citrus, and berry tartness. Taste is up-front infected sourness, some malt, and tart berries. Light bodied, thin. Super disappointing. This was the third bottle I’ve had from Diamond Knot with infection issues.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange color with white head. Sweet bread, doughy, lemon aromas. Lemon, earthy, tangy, bread flavors. Alright, but a bit sweet.

Appearance: lightly hazy orange brown, with a short light khaki head. Aroma: malty cereal and caramel, with earthy, slightly musty hops, and hot cardboard. Taste: sweet caramel malts, with some minerality, loamy hops, and a bit of balsamic vinegar. Finish: ended with a surprising bit of sour, tangy funk, completely atypical for the style. Notes: Not very good.

10/23/2011. 22 oz. bottle from Total Wine. Light amber color with a white head. Caramel aromas with light malt, fruit and light hops. A bit bland and boring.

22oz bomber pours a hazy brownish amber color with a medium off white head with light lacing. Smells of toasted nuts, lemon and toffee. Tastes sweet but a little tart as well. Seems off or slightly infected. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with good carbonation. I had a hard time finishing this. I’ll have to taste the next batch to make a true review.

Bomber. Unclear orange copper, creamy off-white head lasts, leaving messy definitive stepped lacing. Aroma is muted sweet malt, citric. Sour lemon citrus, mild sweet caramel malt taste. Soft carbonation, lighter bodied, low hopped. Buttery slick citric finish. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Pours a thin head on a cloudy medium straw colored body.
The aroma is spicy biscuits and lemon. Really nice.
The taste is sweet upfront with a sour middle and finish. I’m not sure if it’s intended to be sour... After a few more drinks I find it difficult to continue to consume. A bad batch?
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
I’ll wait a year or two to try again.

Amber colored, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is toast, bread, light spicy hop. Lighter bodied, quite drinkable. Pretty nice, nothing overly complex but still enjoyable.

Sour bready aroma. Light amber/yellow color with a small but persistent white head. Sour flavor follows into the taste and not in a good way. There’s a bit of caramel sweetness and toasted bread, but the pungent sour flavor dominates. I’m not sure if I got an infected bottle or not, but this is not to style for a Vienna ale.
