Extra buttery butterscotch nose. Clear amber, medium head, good lacing. Flavor is still buttery, but to a lesser extent and with hay notes. Not sure what the point is with this beer, unless the brewer is trying to popularize a new style: Imperial Diacetyl Ale
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 KajII (464) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - MAY 25, 2012
Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium golden orange with a large (2-3 finger) white frothy head that lasted throughout, reducing finally to a large cap which produced some rally good streaks of lacing.
The aroma was mild of a bread malt, spruce and citrus hops and an earthy doughy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (grapefruit).
The taste was light and satisfyingly bitter with a malty caramel sweetness early on and then gradually became a tad hoppier with a good bitter citrus finish. The flavor hung on for a good long while after the swallow with a pronounced bitter citrusy taste and a hint of spice left lying on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was just a tad under medium in body with a nice creamy dry texture and a prickly carbonation.
Overall a fantastic brew with superb balance of flavor, giving this beer an awesome drinkability...
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SpringsLicker (2546) - Tennessee, USA - APR 29, 2012
Hazy gold body under a good sized white head.
Aroma of citrus hops and light malt.
The flavor is well balanced delivered by a spritzy palate with a bit of carbonic acid in the finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Suttree (3927) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 29, 2012
Cloudy orange, big white head. Smells citrusy, with some bready, biscuity notes, as well. I love the palate in the beer - nicely carbonated, prickly, and almost champagne like. Nice flavor, too - grapefruit, with a bready, firm malt base. I dig it.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Foxbush (761) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 21, 2012
UPDATED: APR 22, 2012 Bomber from Total Wine in Western Henrico. The ale poured with an excess of foam that exceeded the galss. This is very attractive bottle. The ale poured a hazy golden color. There was floral or citrus on the nose . The ale had lively carbonation and medium body with a mild bitternesss from first sip to the last. Not a bad Pale Ale. Smooth finish with some bitterness to the end.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 PorterPounder (4111) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 2, 2012
Tampa, FL - Total Wine - 22 oz bomber. Murky medium copper pour, pillowy white head that leaves thick lacing. Fresh aroma with some lemony accents, a brief wisp of spruce. Flavor is full-bodied yet refreshing with some saffron-like spiciness, a touch of light citrus, some spearmint to round it out. Mouthfeel has just the right amount of spritz to keep it interesting. Pretty solid.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Sikash (28) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 9, 2012
Pourd from the bottle and allowed to warm a litle. Pours a large head with a golden-amber color that is a little hazy. A decent citrus/hop aroma is present with not much else. Medium body that is maybe over-carbonated. Tastes more like an IPA than a pale ale. Some grassy bitter initial taste of medium body. A little bit of a dry spicy aftertaste. Overall I really enjoyed this beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dimenhetfield (1733) - , Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Bottle poured into glass. Big old frothy head. Aroma has slight hints of citrus hops but not a ton of malt. Good flavor but this bottle had been sitting in the hot car for a majority of the day so that may have killed it some.
