3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 KajII (705) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - MAY 25, 2012Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium golden orange with a large (2-3 finger) white frothy head that lasted throughout, reducing finally to a large cap which produced some rally good streaks of lacing.
The aroma was mild of a bread malt, spruce and citrus hops and an earthy doughy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (grapefruit).
The taste was light and satisfyingly bitter with a malty caramel sweetness early on and then gradually became a tad hoppier with a good bitter citrus finish. The flavor hung on for a good long while after the swallow with a pronounced bitter citrusy taste and a hint of spice left lying on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was just a tad under medium in body with a nice creamy dry texture and a prickly carbonation.
Overall a fantastic brew with superb balance of flavor, giving this beer an awesome drinkability...

$1.99 bottle from Total Wine. Pours gold with a big, fluffy white head. Aroma is slightly citrusy but very bready for a pale ale. And this carries over to the taste. A slight bit of citrus but very malty, white bready. Not great...but a cheap bomber.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Strykzone (3813) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 17, 2012
Bomber from Hayduke. We enjoyed this together via facebook chat. I rolled my bottle and poured a hazy golden beer. A huge off white head resulted after all 3 pours into the glass. This beer was all about softness which seems to be at odds over who it was intended to honor. I smelled soft fruit that was complex. Yeast, too. That was also evident in the flavor. Malts were soft and took a back seat to the hops. This was generally sweet and bitterness was low making for an easy drinking beer. Not bad at all but nothing exciting.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 maxwelldeux (2220) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - AUG 30, 2012
Pours a hazy dark gold with a very thick and long-lasting head. Little bit of hops to the nose, but the head prevents much else. I like the flavor - some hops that are balanced out, but there’s not too much to this beer.
