Dark amber colour. Slight toffee aroma with hints of soft, light, chewy caramel. There’s a bit of brown sugar to round things off. Quite sweet and without enough complexity to keep me interested.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Pours a dark mahogNy. Nose is dark fruits and a hint of sour. It’s sort of a big mess some depth but more confusion. Berries dark fruits. It’s almost easy to drink and almost good.  

Bottle. Poured almost purple with thin fast dissipating white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel and raisins. Sweet raisiny flavour with a citrus and alcohol note. Alcohol finish. Not reallly bad, but not a winner either

I like their brewer, but they missed on this one. There really is just very little to this beer. I found it mostly lacking in taste. The main feature would probably be bitterness, although not overwhelming at all. Some barley wines are over the top in flavor, but this beer is quite the opposite. Disappointing.
