The pour is turbid jack-o-lantern orange with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of bready malt, orange marmalade, spicy florals, candi sugar, and some caramel and funk. The flavor is citrusy, very floral, on the dry side, with a lot of spicy fruity funk, and a candi sugar finish. Can a tripel made in Centralia be as good as a fine Belgian tripel? You bet your ass it can, and this one should be winning awards, if it hasn’t already. If you dislike this one, then you’re a dick (the type of dick that doesn’t brew this beer). Pours a cloudy amber without much head and what’s there doesn’t last long. This is as bad as this beer gets.
Scent is light fruits like banana and apricot, but there’s also a hint of bubblegum.
Flavor is sweet and it could use a bit more balance. Fruits are strong and there’s a hint of hops. Alcohol makes its presence known in a big way.
Palate is crisp yet sweet. Overall this is quite good; one of the best US Tripels I’ve had and definately worth seeking out.

While it doesn’t match up to the original Belgian beers for that coveted frothy, cloudy appearance, it delivers a solid flavor profile with accents of something citrusy, fruity, coriandery perhaps. Quite sweet and bordering on candied/brown-sugary even. I don’t know what the deal is with the site’s average ratings and this brewer, but this should be tried blind for an objective assessment. rich42 (128), USA

Good, creamy retention. The aroma is yeasty and fruity with notes of bread dough, mandarin orange and light clove. Sweet, fruity, mildly phenolic flavor. Hopped just enough to keep the sugars from becoming cloying. Full-bodied with a slick mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Finishes fruity and sweet. Kenb sent me this great bottle of beer! | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2005 Dark orange gold, slight head, wafts of cinnamon and evergreen forest after it’s open...smooth, all most lager like malt cut by spicy alcohol, slight bannana and "slop" in the finish. Better than the last time I tried it... Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2003 The color as it sets in my glass a somewhat muzzy dark orange color, the head is inconsequential in size, semi-creamy in texture and a bright white color, as the head quickly vanishes a tenuous film of lace forms to seal off the glass. The aroma of vanilla or sugar cookies comes to mind with a slight hint of cinnamon, fresh, clean and the start ambrosial, nice malt presence, the top is light to moderate in its feel. Finish is penetrating in its acidic bite, the hops merciful in their spicy bite, just a tinge of alcohol bitterness brought on my the 9 percent ABV, also a slight warming of the tummy noticed, drinkable and a pleasant change of pace.
