COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wonderfully balanced "session beer" in the ESB style. A combination of 75 L and 120 L caramel malts give this ale a nice color, maltiness and body. This is then balanced and complimented in the kettle with Magnum hops which contribute its clean but detectable bitterness. Mt. Hood hops are then added for a lingering hop flavor and aroma. We ferment our bitter with Dick's house yeast for that classic English ale flavor.

light amber. ocean froth head. smells of old wood and weeds. Light sweet corn grain. Medium body. Nice grassy sap resin with a slight bit of booze and a hint of grainy sweetness, that, while not very present in and of itself, still contributes an impression of considerable complexity. Grassy, slightly harsh, hint of chemical bitterness lingers.

Bottle courtesy bu11zeye. Pours a copper orange color with a small amount of carbonation. Aroma is a bit hoppy. Slight malts and something strange. Flavor is dry malts with some obvious notes of hops. Bitterness that lingers for just a bit.

12 oz. bottle- Pours clear copper with a 1 finger head that recedes almost immediately, aroma is caramel malts and fresh cut grass, little hops in the nose. The flavor is amber malty at first but then a more interesting caramel flavor shows up, sessionable. The body is thin to medium, carbonation is also medium. ESB’s are not my favorite, but this is easy and sessionable, neat label too.

Thin, weak, malty on the nose and the tongue. Not very bitter. An okay beer but not Dick’s best.

Bomber from the local wine shop. Wispy head. Translucent orange appearance with a brown hue. Very dark, considering it’s an ESB. Slight lemon zest, with a lot of lemon grass poking through. Nice light bitterness is coming through, and provides a nice pungent aroma. This is very fresh smelling and aromatic. The flavor is lemon grass, and a nice fruity more robust fruit flavor and bitterness comes through after the aforementioned flavor putters out. Not much of a label to describe age, date brewed, etc.; It’s quite lively for it having an assumed age on it. Fairly good. I’m quite pleased with this, and its fresh qualities. Quite thick and chewy for the style.

Aroma is a bit metallic for an ESB. Nice color with good white head. Slightly more hoppy than a true English style bitter, but very nice
