Commercial Description:
Wonderfully balanced "session beer" in the ESB style. A combination of 75 L and 120 L caramel malts give this ale a nice color, maltiness and body. This is then balanced and complimented in the kettle with Magnum hops which contribute its clean but detectable bitterness. Mt. Hood hops are then added for a lingering hop flavor and aroma. We ferment our bitter with Dick's house yeast for that classic English ale flavor.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear medium orange color with a small amount of ivory bubbles, mostly around the edges of the glass. Aroma is of sweet malt, caramel and flowers. Taste is of sweet malt and floral hops with notes of caramel and citrus. Crisp, well carbonated, and medium bodied. Ending is bittersweet with sour notes.

This ESB pours a deep amber color from a 12 oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, citrus and earthy. A medium bodied ESB/bitter. Malts are caramel and fruity. Hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Strong malt flavor throughout. Very drinkable session ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Don’t know about bitter but it was malty. This was a very tasty beer with a mild bitterness from the hops but the balance from the caramel malts gave this beer a very nice flavor and this is a beer that I woulf buy by the 6 pack. Thanks to kenb for this one.

Poured a nice copper with the size perfect head. Had a decent aroma not to potent, mostly of malts, fruits, and hops. The flavor was right on for a bitter, Not too strong, nice body and a crisp finish. I noticed hints of malts, pine, apple and a little chalk. It started out really good and then went south. Not bad though.

12 oz bottle From Liquid Solutions. Chilled for 2 hours. Large foamy white head. Clear orange color. Mild aroma with some citrus. Medium body. Nice full mouthfeel with notes of honey, orange, lemon and of course grapefruit. Good bitter bite on the finish, followed by some sweetness, then some dry lingering grapefruit in the aftertaste..it lingers and lingers and lingers. Not my favorite style, seems more like a West Coast IPA, but is a pretty good and very flavorful beer. Should be rated much higher than it is here.

Pours orangey-brown with small off-white thick head. Not completely clear. Man, do I love the English ale aroma! Big and fruity. Citrus (lemon) pine, and, I swear, fresh cantaloupe. There’s some malty sweetness in the aroma as well. I manage to pull my nose out of the glass long enough to taste this beer. It’d be a miracle if it tasted as good as it smelled. It doesnt, but it’s not bad. Still sweet (caramel) and fruity. Medium-bodied and juicy, like a ripe peach (except I didn’t taste peach). Finishes clean and clear and ready for more.
