UPDATED: APR 8, 2003 india pale ale? more like imperial pale ale. wonderfully strong - very well hopped - but not super bitter. nice malt backbone. bit of hop sharpness with nice complex spiciness. well balanced. uprated after second bottle - damn near perfect.

Citrus aroma, a little cloudy in appears. Bitter don’t taste much else. Bitter on the finish. This is good IPA, don’t get me wrong, but I didn’t find it the least bit unique.

Beautiful glowing honey-tinged orange color with impressive canyoned head...Aroma is extravagantly endowed with whole-hop essence and light citrus/fruity tones...One is impressed with the smooth but irresistible wave of powerful but controlled hoppiness...It builds to a crescendo and then rolls away to a slightly fruity, hop-fog finish...The alcohol leaves its warm calling card as an afterstatement...This is not one-dimensional by any means...Plenty of body beneath the all-conquering hoppy phalanx...This is one powerhouse IPA that isn’t top-heavy...It has intensity and considerable weight to it, but is refined and finely balanced. This has now assumed the top spot on my IPA list---and ranks high on my overall list as well...A marvelous product!

Holy cow! This has a warm rich color with great hop and fruit flavors. Oh by the way, watch out and don’t drink too many. It’ll cost you! Who am I kidding, I want more!

Amazing IPA, deep golden, almost amber color, extra hops add to the large flavor, bitter with great body, nice mouthfeel with lingering bite, assertive hop flavor throughout, excellent beer, one of my favorites
