COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black and incredibly creamy with flavors of coffee and dark chocolate. A large portion of highly roasted black unmalted barley gives this beer it's opaque black color and deep flavors. Additionally a large percentage of unmalted flaked barley in the malt beer gives this beer it's unmatched creaminess. We add just enough hops for a little complexity. The result is a true stout to satisfy any connoisseur of the style, yet so drinkable that it pleases even lighter beer drinkers

Smells toasty, but lightly so. Deep brown, with a head that ran away at once. Starts with toasted malt, develops some sweetness, followed by a hint of sour, and not a lot of bitterness. There is something uncommon, and I guess that’s the cream aspect. Very smooth mouthfeel, but there’s a slight burst of sour, if you swish it around. This is really something that stands alone. The aftertaste is a combination of sour and bitter - but low levels, and it’s just very good and uncommon.

Dark color with almost no head, just some bubbles around the edges. It smells roasty and creamy, and a bit like chocolate covered pretzels. Malty, creamy, a good amount of roast and chocolate in the flavor. Well done!

Pours blackish brown with a thin thin thin light brown head. The nose is straight up creamy. Hints of roast and chocolate, but mostly this Irish cream sweetness. I find it a bit much personally, it would make a better candle aroma than a beer. The mouthfeel is substantially more substantial than most of the style, with nice creamy viscosity and tiny little bubbles. This beer doesn’t by any means taste like it smells, which is a good thing in my opinion. There’s some strong lactic sweetness up front meeting from gentle malt and some obvious roast and chocolate. There’s also some gentle though obvious florals hops here that double teams the sweetness along with the roastiness to give this beer solid balance. I enjoyed this and would gladly drink one of these again if in the sweet stout frame of mind.

Bottle. Good chocolate aroma. Black body with thin dark tan head. Good dry roasted flovor with some chcolate. Body texture was rather thin but made this smooth and enjoyable stout. Dry coco left on palate. Decent brew.

I was suprised by the flavor of this beer. I was expecting a heavy strong flavor. But this beer was smooth with a slite coffee taste with a chocolate after taste. The cream takes the edge off this very good beer.

Thin creamy head on a black base. Dusty aroma of oats, chocolate and charcoal. Lingering charcoal bitterness. As it warms it becomes a big mouthful. Foamy and creamy. Sweet and milky with just a trace of sourness at the end.

Bottle. Pours a very dark amber, almost black, with a big pillow of khaki head. The head remained unchanged until I finished the glass. The aroma is roasty with some chocolate, caramel, and coffee. The flavor is mostly noble hops and coffee until the finish, when some chocolate, green wood, and nuts emerge. Very smooth and very drinkable.

12 oz bottle, via Larry Pitonka. Very dark brown pour with a small light brown head that faded to a whispy covering. Light sediment noted in bottle. Nose is roasted malt, chocolate, and a lactose sweetness. Flavor is mostly roasted malt, but it’s a little astringent. The lactose sweetness comes across in the finish with a little coffee flavor as well. Medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation yields an oily texture. An OK beer, the flavor profile could be cleaned up a bit, but it’s drinkable.
