2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 hivemind (426) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 14, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2011 On tap at Blind Tiger with Andy, James, Streets, Baron. Pour is not golden. It’s amber. Head is minimal and aroma is lame, ricey and macro lager. Taste is somewhere between slightly off-putting and okay. Starts off with a quick carbonation blast. Nothing to note on the palate and aftertaste is quick, which is good considering I do not get any tastes that I’d want to stick around.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 after4ever (4500) - Brier, Washington, USA - JUN 28, 2009
Growler. Thanks, BrewDad! Pours a crystal clear medium gold. Nice decent creamy white head with plenty of lace. When cold, it has a vacant nose, but after just a minute or two of warming, it shows mild nutty, grassy, earthy, and piney notes. Creamy medium body. Nice nuts, grass, and mild hop on the mid-palate. Very drinkable, and a little more life to it than there seemed to be when cold.

Well first of all this beer looks like Budweiser with less carbonation. It has a bland taste and lacks flavor. I'll definitely pass on this beer again.

You know, the ratings on the site are creeping towards 150,000 and I"m not sure this beer deserves that honorable spot. This is yet another beer I"ve sampled from Dick"s that tastes rather similar to its namesake. (There"s a whole realm of bad humor I am not even about to begin exploring.) I"m traditionally not a fan of blondes, and this is no exception; to begin with, this is way overcarbonated (tastes kind of like tonic water). There are hops in the aroma, but where the hell are they in the flavor? It"s a bit bitter, but I can"t taste much of anything through the metallic flavor from the carbonation. I"ve always had a problem with ordering hot dogs from a restaraunt called Dick"s, but this brewery is creating an association problem for me with their beer as well.
