Commercial Description:
Straw colored with mild ale fruitiness and a crisp finish. This nice ale starts with American 2-row malted barley and just enough malted white wheat for crispness. Magnum and Mt. Hood hops lend interesting character and make this beer so drinkable any time or place.

Growler. Thanks, BrewDad! And thank you, Dick for all you did for the brewing scene in Washington. Pours a hazy gold with a lacy white head. Aroma has a bit of grassy hops. Medium body, nutty taste.

Liquid Sunshine VII Tasting – Kirkland, WA
Aroma: Nice light malt aroma with some hops.
Appearance: Golden Yellow in color, Clear with a thin head.
Flavor: Creamy Golden this was a excellent ale for dinner. Nice malts and hops balance.
Palate: Dry Finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: Very nice easy drinking Golden ale. This was brewed on the new pilot system at the new brewery and will be in production if this beer take off.

Growler. Thanks, BrewDad! Pours a crystal clear medium gold. Nice decent creamy white head with plenty of lace. When cold, it has a vacant nose, but after just a minute or two of warming, it shows mild nutty, grassy, earthy, and piney notes. Creamy medium body. Nice nuts, grass, and mild hop on the mid-palate. Very drinkable, and a little more life to it than there seemed to be when cold.

Well first of all this beer looks like Budweiser with less carbonation. It has a bland taste and lacks flavor. I'll definitely pass on this beer again.

You know, the ratings on the site are creeping towards 150,000 and I"m not sure this beer deserves that honorable spot. This is yet another beer I"ve sampled from Dick"s that tastes rather similar to its namesake. (There"s a whole realm of bad humor I am not even about to begin exploring.) I"m traditionally not a fan of blondes, and this is no exception; to begin with, this is way overcarbonated (tastes kind of like tonic water). There are hops in the aroma, but where the hell are they in the flavor? It"s a bit bitter, but I can"t taste much of anything through the metallic flavor from the carbonation. I"ve always had a problem with ordering hot dogs from a restaraunt called Dick"s, but this brewery is creating an association problem for me with their beer as well.
