Very robust and flavor laden. Big malt nose and a great hop spicyness that is very close to the old style Marzen’s.

Nice brew! Limited aroma - hoppy out of the bottle, but sweet malts dominate the pint glass. Lighter golden in color with minimal head. Fruity malts with some toasted grain, honey soaked, mild hoppiness makes it not too sweet. Enjoyable for sure. Thanks André!

not bad at all, this tastes like Dicks answer to Fat Tire. sweet malty nose, amber color with thin head and lacing. Wheaty grain taste, maybe a hint of brown sugar for extra alcohol. Good balance with the hops, not overpowering.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - OCT 20, 2004
This bottle was a bit hard to get ahold of, i guess they only have it available in the mixed 12 packs, so rather than paying all that money we just cut open the 12 pack in the store and just took the one bottle. Pours a translucient amber/red with a off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with hints of caramel and floral hops. Taste starts with a dry malt, toffee, lightly roasted notes, with a well balanced fruity hop finish and some brown sugar tasting kick to it.

12 oz bottle, via Indiana_Red. Pours a clear light copper with a fizzy off-white head. Nice toffee malt aroma with some toasted notes. Pretty clean aroma. Flavor follows aroma in step. Finish is moderately bitter and again, very clean. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate fine bubbled carbonation. A decent American Oktoberfest. It could use a little more thickness in the body, but it’s quite drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (4104) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - SEP 15, 2004
Bottle pours a translucent copper, small white pancake batter like head, light carbonation, with fairly sticky lacing.   Grains, vegetables, and nuts in both aroma and flavor.   Good body, medium mouthfeel.   Finishes slightly sweet, a bit more malty than the front.   Needs less vegetable & graininess and more maltiness.

Bottle, pours an amber body with an off white head. Malty caramel tones, sweet lagered notes, a mild fruity malt bill with a mild sweetness and a light bitterness to finish. Average.

ewwww peanut butter. Smells and tastes like a bad peanut butter and vegetable mixture, though the aroma isn't that strong. Palate is wet and thin, and the flavors don't exactly hit a marzen, more sweet and nutty, needs a musty wheat and roasted malt flavor. The appearance is actually quite nice, considerable lacing along the glass and light brown complextion.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 IndianaRed (1734) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 31, 2006
Bottle Pours a slightly hazy light brown with a light, off white head. This quickly dissipates and only spotty lacing remains. Dark woody malt aromas and a fruity sweet hint as well. Wody flavors and easy on the hops. About what I expected for the style. Thin feel though and not as robust or heacy as I hoped. Wierd bitter twang at the end. Softly carbonated.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - FEB 8, 2004
head dissipates quickly, sticky lacing, pellucid light gold, straw, green tinge even. The aroma is hoppy , a little musky though. Metallic acrid smelling hops, not very crips. The flavor is almost like a lager with some underlying pils malts and a bit of hops again. The bitterness is not balanced though, just seems in too much, this isn't much of an oktoberfest, I was thinking pilsner when I drank it.
