Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, candied orange, herbal notes and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, light orange zest and light herbal notes with a smooth dry lingering carmel finish.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours deeply hazy dark copper/amber with a small creamy off-white head. Strong roast malt aroma with floral/earthy hop accompaniement. Med+ body. Flavor is roast malt, with a lot of bitter - seems more citrus than resin, and it’s earthy and floral. It is quite clear that the brewer did not skimp on ingredients. This stuff is packed full of everything. It finishes slightly less than dry, maybe you could say sticky, but it’s not sweet. Must be a heck of a challenge to balance something like this.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nena (963) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Malty, bready caramel aroma, citrus hops. Big sweet malty flavor at the start, lots of toffee, caramel, mellow floral hop flavor, citrus, bitter resin finish. Moderately heavy, sticky body. A little too sweetly malty for my tastes, but still a decent big beer.

Malty, full-bodied, beautiful head....I love this beer. So many red ales are so painfully mediocre that when one comes along that makes you take notice it’s refreshing. Just a very satisfying, balanced beer.

Bomber thanks to BrewDad- thanks Mike. Pours a dark red color with a medium white head. The aroma is a sweet caramel malt, some overripe fruit. The flavor is a smooth grainy caramel malt, some earthiness, light berries. Enjoyable. Malt dominated not too many hops.

Bottle shared by haggerty. Pours reddish amber with a decent beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a toasty caramel flavor with subtle hop bitterness.

22. Pours a crystal clear dark amber with greater brightness at the edges. Dense and creamy tan head, plenty of it. Modest drippy lace. Big malty nose, lots of brown bread and a little bit of mustiness and CO2 detracting from the better bits. Creamy medium body, wooly carb, very full on the attack. Brown bread, dried leaves, toast, wet grass, and some darkly herbal hop on the mid-palate. Toasty, almost spicy herbal crisp hop finish. Very well conceived. Clean out that offness from the nose and this would be quite a bit more intriguing, maybe bordering on classic.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (4566) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 12, 2011
Spicy caramel malt notes on the nose, some crystal malt shows through, light fruity sweetness, and somewhat earthy hop presence. Nice red pour, great clarity, not much in way of head and lace. The flavor is toasty notes, caramel, crystal malt, lightly spicy earthy hop notes iwth a soft fruitiness throughout. Fruity caramel finish. Light dryness, decent drinker.

Bottle:   Copper shade of amber, nice lacing from a moderate to large frothy sandy head.   Pale bready nose, malty, slightly husky and hay like, in a sweet way.   Malt forward on the tongue, fair amount of sweetness, some light caramel and candied citrus peel.   Hop aspect is there but is minor.   Seems fairly toasted, the malts.   Decent body, nicer than most.   Seems well balanced despite the edge towards malts.   Really easy drinking, finishing with semi-sweet toasted malt character.   Can’t tell this is 8%.   Enjoyable!
