Commercial Description:
Deep and malty. Large quantities of specialty malts give this ale such depth of flavor. Caramel, brown, and chocolate malts, and black barley are all included. Magnum hops are added during the boil to balance the substantial maltiness and Willamette hops provide a nice spicy finish. Our house yeast ferments this beautiful black beer.

Licorice, chocolate and roasted barley in the aroma. Dark brown body with red tints around the edges, head is a medium sized and off-white in color. Nice lacing. Roasted barley, some coffee notes, moderate bitterness. Fairly hoppy finish. Not bad, would make a good introductory Imperial Stout.

Tried this one amidst some heavyweights - it didn’t hold up to the others. This beer is just average in every way. There is a more doughy bread level in here than most of the same style.

Bottle Pours a deep black and a nice tall tan head that eventually settled to a thin layer and some blocky sticky lacing. Aroma is sweet prunes, molasas, and a touch smokey. Flavor is a nice combination of sweet smoke, and dark roasted grain and dark malt. Finish is smokey and slightly bitter. Nice Stout.

Aroma is dark roasted and bitter chocolate. Flavor is somewhat burnt, with mild chocolate and buttermilk. Alcohol is nicely hidden. Thin texture. Not as full bodied as it could be. Overall, not to shabby for the price.

Very dark and black with a thin, light tan head. Carbonation is full but smooth. Dark roasted malts throughout ... roasty and toasty. Some doughy, yeasty notes as well. Hints of chocolate and the slightest element of sour milk. Quite a bit of hop bitterness in the rear. Decent Imp.

Pours an ebony color with a small off-white head that leaves good lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasty, but not as roasty as most imp. stouts. Some chocolate aromas but nothing exceptional. This brew has a nice thick mouthfeel and coats very well. The chocolate is very apparent in the taste with almost a hint of coffee toward the end. Moderate bitterness toward the end with a nice smoothness to it.

Bottle-In the vaults of HI International. Quite thick and sweet. Chocolatey, some light roasted malt and mocha flavours. A bit sweet and sticky, but not bad, good flavours coming through.

Black with a thin quickly discipating tan or brown head. Nose is bitter with some chocolate. Sweet and tangy with some bitter bite. Awfully good.
