Commercial Description:
Deep and malty. Large quantities of specialty malts give this ale such depth of flavor. Caramel, brown, and chocolate malts, and black barley are all included. Magnum hops are added during the boil to balance the substantial maltiness and Willamette hops provide a nice spicy finish. Our house yeast ferments this beautiful black beer.

Good stuff. Black with weak tan head. Chocolate and coffe and fruit to the nose and the taste. Not as fiull bodied and intense as I like a stout but still quite good.

Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a medium sized dark tan head that laces moderately. Aroma is very sweet with some light burnt/roasted notes. Almost smells like a lacto stout. Flavor is more hoppy bitter than sweet. Some chocolate swimming around. Heavy body that ends dry.

Dark brown with a small tan head. Chocolate and grape aroma, weak bodied for the style, ends sweet. Boring for an imperial stout.

This imperial stout pours with a dark brown to black body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. the aroma is sweet and malty with candy sugar notes and a slight touch of roastiness. The flavor is slightly sweet yet mostly bitter, roasty and malty with a slight coffee note. Full bodied, relatively smooth and slightly dry.

Dark dark ruby. Some chocolate in the nose, some light milky sourness as well. Creamy mouthfeel. Sweet smooth straightforward maltiness. Low (but present) roast character. Slick on the tongue Finish dries out with alcohol. Tastes like a big oatmeal stout, rather than an imperial.

12oz Bottle No Freshness Date Dark chocolate brown colored stout with a thick head of loose bubbles. Some sweet chocolate notes in the nose, along with roasted malt and dough. Body is medium with a crisp carbonation. Maybe a tad thin for the style. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee and caramel. Slight dry finish. Overall a good Imperial.
