COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A pale ale hopped to the extreme! This beer starts out as a nice pale ale until it reaches the kettle. Throughout the course of the 90 minute boil four massive hop additions are made which transform this beer into a hop-head's dream come true. Both Chinook and Tomahawk hops from the Yakima valley are added in extreme quantities for the maximum bitterness, flavor and aroma.

12 oz bottle, decent hop aroma but the flavor is really flat and just plain bitter and hop water.

Bottle shared by jbye4334. Pours clear, dark amber with a medium, creamy, off-white head, good retention. Aroma is medium sweet caramel-toffee malt, moderate hops (pine, citrus, floral) with light fruity esters and alcohol. Flavor is medium sweet malt, bread, high hop flavor, moderate bitterness, light fruity esters, and some alcohol. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.

Cask, pours an amber body with an off whit head. Citrus, grapefruit hoppy bitterness. A mild earthy tone. Initially its more sweet then the bitter herbal hop resinous earth y character dries it out. Nice ipa.

Bottle. Amber orange pour with a chunky white head. Caramel aroma, little touch of pine. Definitely has a lot of sweet malty flavor up front, finishes sharply bitter and resinous with pine and cedar characteristics. Has a lingering woody bitterness. The strong pine character of this is distinct from other IPAs I’ve had, and this is good for any time I’m craving strong bitterness. This is not bad, but it’s also not really what I look for in an IPA.
