A pale ale hopped to the extreme! This beer starts out as a nice pale ale until it reaches the kettle. Throughout the course of the 90 minute boil four massive hop additions are made which transform this beer into a hop-head's dream come true. Both Chinook and Tomahawk hops from the Yakima valley are added in extreme quantities for the maximum bitterness, flavor and aroma.

Cask, pours an amber body with an off whit head. Citrus, grapefruit hoppy bitterness. A mild earthy tone. Initially its more sweet then the bitter herbal hop resinous earth y character dries it out. Nice ipa.

Bottle. Amber orange pour with a chunky white head. Caramel aroma, little touch of pine. Definitely has a lot of sweet malty flavor up front, finishes sharply bitter and resinous with pine and cedar characteristics. Has a lingering woody bitterness. The strong pine character of this is distinct from other IPAs Iíve had, and this is good for any time Iím craving strong bitterness. This is not bad, but itís also not really what I look for in an IPA.

Amber/gold pour. Aroma is a mix of honey, floral and citrus hops. Flavor switches back and forth between a bit of sweetness and the prick of the hops. Pretty ok IPA. RIP Dick.

Bottle from Scrizzz (thanks!) Pumpkin colored pour, good citrus and hops aroma and the most carbonation Iíve ever seen in a beer (even when poured very carefully and slowly, the foam just wouldnít stop). Flavor is woody, malty, mellow hops/copper and very dry on the finish. Aside from the root beer float foam, a very good and easy drinking IPA.

Umber color with a taller fluffy off-white head. Aromas of crystal malt, wood and citrus. Caramel, paler malt, citric hops and touch of tropical fruit flavors. Touch of rust in the finish and into the linger. My last batch of IPA of the west coast is slightly less than awe inspiring.
