This crisp, hoppy Northwest IPA features Centennial, Cascade and Columbus hops that impart strong citrus hop flavors and aromas. Our Northwest IPA is balanced nicely with the use of crystal and victory malt. We finished this fine IPA with a heavy dose of dry hopping to lock in the all the intense flavors and aromas. This IPA is sure to satisfy the hop heads of the Northwest, so sit back and enjoy.

Very light amber, almost no head and zero lacing. Aroma is very heavy on the citrus, very light caramel malt smells as well. Flavor is quite bitter, mixture of citrus (grapefruit) hops and pine hops with a bit of a caramel backing, but not much. I like bitter, overly hopped IPAs so this wasn’t much of a problem, but this isn’t a great example of the style.

Golden amber color. Definitely a lot of bitterness that sticks around long after your done drinking. I feel there’s a nice malty body somewhere in there, but it’s hidden by all the hops. Not that this is a bad thing, but it’s a shame that a possibly tasty beer is being overshadowed.

Bottle thanks to riversideAK. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, light tropical fruits, and grassy hops. Flavor is similar with sweet malt and light citrusy and fruity hops. Pleasant and enjoyable. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

Bottle. Aroma of caramel/toasted malt with some floral hoppiness, pretty bland all around. Flavor better with very bitter citrus tones taking over. Mild astringency. Not a bad drinker.

Pours amber with a thin white head. Smells of caramel, peppery, citrussy. Tastes of ininspired citrus and astringent with a caramelly cloying finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Butterscotch color with a medium creamy off-white head. There’s not much aroma here but it has a good mid-range hop bitterness with plenty of grapefruit notes. It has honey flavors but it’s not very sweet. A long finishing buttery palate.

Very good IPA. Large hop profile, generally evokes citrus and complimented by a generous malt body. Just sweet enough for the hops, but not to ruin an IPA.

12oz bottle from RiversideAK. Pours cloudy amber with a moderate sized off white head. Good of lace. Smells earthy and caramelly malty with sweet, citrus notes. Tastes citrusy and earthy hoppy with a good dose of sweetish cereal malt in there. Good, balanced, bitter yet slightly sweet. Medium body, good carbonation.

Bottle from MOC in Ashland, OR. I’ve had this a few months, not a great idea considering the nature of the beer. Still, the beer was rather thin to go with the trademark bitterness. It smelled of dishsoap, regardless of the smooth drinkability.

Bottle courtesy of riversideAK. Pours a cloudy ice tea color with some floaters and a one finger rocky beige head great lacing. Nose is malt, floral hops and light pine. Taste is caramel malt upfront, but then it’s all about the bitter resin. After taste lasts for a quite a while. Medium mouth feel. A little imbalanced, but I like them hoppy. Decent IPA – thanks Alex!
