COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep and toasty, yet drinkable red ale. Lots of specialty grains in the mash really make this beer. Well roasted Munich malt and rich caramel malt contribute depth and richness of flavor, good body and mouthfeel, and a beautiful red color. We then add a melanoidin malt which is what gives the Irish its unique "toasty" flavor. English style hops and yeast make it a favorite with everyone.

Tastes nearly identical to their Pale Ale, a very good basic beer that does not seem watered down like most of the main stream beers.

Pours deep orange with a big head, about three fingers. Smells wheaty and sweet. Bitter up front, tingly and carbonated. Very drinkable. Darn good beer.

Near clear dark orange-amber in color with a short beige head. Aroma is quite malty with some fruity elements. Not too complex. Medium sweet malty flavor and a medium body. True to style. More red than amber.

12 oz. bottle- Pours clear red with a nice 1 finger head that eventually recedes, the aroma is caramel malt, sweet and sugary. The taste is dry, it tastes similar to an amber ale, which in my opinion is not good. Body is medium, carbonation is medium low.

Simple malty ale without much character. Easy to drink but there are many better ales available.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Dry herbal hop toned body with a mild metallic note. Herbal earth and toasted malt tones, a mild drying finish. Rather lackluster and average.

Bottle... Poured deep amber with a thin, white head. Toasted malted grains on the nose. Mostly a malty brew, with a mild hop bite but lots of caramel-toffee, almond-like nut flavors and bready malts coming through. Sweet finish.
