I smell some coffee, chocolate and almost a lagerish smell. I like the flavor. it is medium bodied and the flavor is sweet malt, faint hints of coffee and a line of hop bitterness coats the back of my tongue. not bad...especially in the 14th inning of the All Star game!!! Pours a very dark garnet/ black color with a light ivory head. Sweet, caramel and chocolate aroma. Fruity and sweet. Lots of chocolate character. A somewhat chalky, chocolate flavor. Pleasant bitterness. Lingering flavor.
