Thanks to brewdad for giving me a chance to try this. Poured an opaque black. Aroma was faint chocolate. Taste was straight forward, some chocolate and a quick finish. This was fairly thin and weak.

Jul 21, 2008 Dark, almost black with a modest tan head, good lacings.
Aroma is chocolate, coffee, floral hops.
Taste is chocolate, coffee, bitter, sweet roasted malts. Very rich flavors. Nice dark bitter finish. Very good porter. Label iists abv of 6.2%.

Jul 16, 2008 thanks brewdad! You rock! pours a clear dark brown with a frothy off white head. I smell some coffee, chocolate and almost a lagerish smell. I like the flavor. it is medium bodied and the flavor is sweet malt, faint hints of coffee and a line of hop bitterness coats the back of my tongue. not bad...especially in the 14th inning of the All Star game!!!

Jun 14, 2008 Average porter...perhaps a bit below. Subtle aromas indicative of the style. Coffee and chocolate on the palate, along with lingering bitterness and chalkiness. Quite thin.

May 20, 2008 Bottled. Pours a very dark garnet/ black color with a light ivory head. Sweet, caramel and chocolate aroma. Fruity and sweet. Lots of chocolate character. A somewhat chalky, chocolate flavor. Pleasant bitterness. Lingering flavor.
