mj (4975), Colorado, USA Sep 23, 2006 Moved my rating over from "Dicks Pilsner" - I had this in August, 2005. Yellow and slightly murky with the perfect fluffy, billowy head on top. Smells of sweet lemons and candy sugar, flavor is similar: light and smooth on the tongue, semi-sweet, crisp and fluffy. A very well made pilsner sampled on draft at the brewery. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA Aug 30, 2005 (Draft: Dick’s Brewing Co. in Centralia, WA) One of the few brews from Dick’s that isn’t bottled, I found this one on tap at the brewery/sausage store. Wow, this is one hoppy pilsener. With the light, grainy malt as a base up front, the bitterness of the hops hits you full in the face, especially in the finish. Mildly aromatic with a lighty hoppy nose. Light body without being thin. Very clean throughout, finishing very crisp. Pours a hazy straw color, and is topped by a small white head that settles to a broken film. Definitely a pilsener for hopheads.
