Commercial Description:
Golden colored and crisp with the distinctive rye character. We combine the highest percentage of flaked rye possible with 2-row malted barley to extract the maximum rye flavor. We carefully sparge the mash and the boil the wort. We make three hop additions during the boil with an emphasis on balance in the finished beer

Light copper with bright white head. Aroma of grain and spice. Flavor I really don’t get any rye bummer. Nice light almost farmhouse type beer.

Light straw-amber, white head, clean and clear, fines bubbles. Aroma of sour dough, with a hint of earth, some pineapple and orange. Taste is initially bitter and grassy, then subtle tropical fruits and honey in the mid-palate, finish of light peppered grain and pine hops. I find the palate on this one a little light and watery, but the beer is crisp and pleasing.

Bottle thanks to Scrizz. Another beer from Dicks that is simply not that bad. I would have put this a bit higher in the average. Has a morning pee yellow pour with minimal to no head. Smells of rye and oranges. Taste is suprisingly good. Im not much for rye ales by any means, but this one is pretty good, comparing well to an APA. Some grain, orange and honey are present in the flavor. Nice finish.

Crystal clear amber with a white head. Nice tropical fruit, honey sweet aromas. Rich, smooth mouthfeel. Grainy sweet rye flavors with mangos and honey. Easy drinking summer brew.

Golden color with a moderate light taupe colored head. Ripe fruit, honey, lightly toasted malt and hint of citrus. Not a clean aroma. Creamy feel. Honey, light malt, grain and bit of apricot in the flavors. Seems more like a cream ale to me. Fairly drinkable, but on the bland side.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours rich gold with a medium off-white head. Watery and thin in body. Leaves great lacing in the glass. Has a quick and crisp finish. I don’t really taste any rye in this beer.

Lightly spicy but overly sweet in the nose with some grassy hop notes. Rye is also quite apparent in the aroma. Clear golden body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled off white head that recedes slowly to a lasting cover. Cereal malt and rye blend well with grassy hops leaving a sweet and lightly spicy flavour. Subdued bitterness allows the rye to stand out, but personally I think stronger bitterness would complement the rye. Medium light body with pleasant soft bubbled effervescence. Enjoyable and easy drinking if perhaps a bit too sweet. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle. Bottleworks. Aug-08.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off-white head. Has a malty grainy aroma with some hoppy hints and some hints of rye. Sweetish malty grainy rye flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
