| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2005 12 oz bottle. Golden beer, thin white head. Chunky yeast floaties throughout. Pale malt aroma, light honey, apple/pear esters, more of a wheaty spiciness than rye. Light spicy flavour on the front of the palate, fruity yeast over sweet bready/crackery malts. A light refreshing tartness in the finish. A bit of lemon/orange flavour becomes more prominent as the beer warms. Great session beer. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Dick’s Brewing Co. in Centralia, WA) This is a very tasty beer. Lots of toasty, bready malts easily leading the way, with only a slight tartness and no noticeable bitterness. The tartness stops short of being overly sour. Toasty and tart aromas are in good balance. Medium bodied, carbonation levels are solid, and the tartness keeps the palate refreshed. Light golden color and somewhat hazy. The creamy, off-white head pours to only about half an inch, and settles to a thin ring. A great session ale for me. Tasty, easy to drink, doesn’t tire out the palate, pretty low in alcohol, and just a very enjoyable brew. IndianaRed (1562), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 9, 2005 This beer pours a fairly clear golden yellow color with a thin white soapy head and little to no lacing. The aroma is bready with absolutely nothing there other than rye hints.. i mean was I really expecting much else? Some malt and cardboard in there too if I really want to extract the aroma. The flavor is light to medium bodied with prickling mid-sip carbonation and a heavy bready coating. Grains, hay and grass make up this entire beer with a cardboardy malty finish. Incredibly unexciting...about to pass out due to boredom. The rye is just so overwhelming.....kerblech.... 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2005 Bottle: Translucent yellow, yet with lots of sediment floating about, HUGE white head, fizzy turning into a frothy/rocky pillow, spotty lacing, light carbonation. Pale malt aroma, slightly fruity, perhaps in the peach/apricot sense of all things. Very pale flavor, slight malt, even a bit of grass as this is somewhat pilsneresque. Moderate body and mouthfeel, bordering on thin. Clean finish, easy to drink, but fairly boring. I was expecting a bit more Rye flavor from this one. Overly light me thinks.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2005 12 oz. Bottle. Pours clear straw color with a big thick rocky head with some lacing. Citrus and coriander like nose. Crisp clean citrus flavor. Very carbonated! You can taste the rye crisp edge in the dry finish. Nice beer. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2004 Clear golden color with minimal head and retention. Very grainy aroma, big rye smell. Rye carries over 100% into the flavor and is remarkably clear, very filtered yet flavorful. Despite the clear defined flavor, this just didn’t strike me as too interesting. Although most likely intentionally linear, it was linear nonetheless.
