Sweetish malty nutty flavor with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. dalekliz (206), San Diego, California, USA Aug 29, 2008 Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD and Bikesandbeer for sharing. Pours an amber-brown with a white ring. Sweet, malty aroma, with molasses and dates notes. Taste is sharp and toasty sweet, of malt and molasses. Lingering sweet toasty malt flavors. Decent brown ale. spikester (440), Salem, Oregon, USA Aug 29, 2008 Dark brown with red highlights. Very little haed and lacings. Aroma is floral and sweet. Taste is bitter at first with a strong roast malt backing. A minor cocoa flavor emerges but the dark bitter hops keep it under control. Slightly too much carbonation for my taste. Otherwise a real nice Brown Ale. robforbes (752), Bremerton, Washington, USA Aug 12, 2008 pours a clear dark brown with a red tint, thin tanish head, not much lacing.
