A combination of two types of sweet caramel malt, lightly roasted biscuit malt, and victory malt lend depth, richness and flavor. We also add highly roasted chocolate malt giving the beer its wonderful reddish-brown color. Magnum hops give the Working Manís Brown Ale a clean and balanced bitterness. Mt. Hood hops are added at the end of the boil for excellent flavor and aroma.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown color (with a hint of red in there) with a moderate off-white head. Nose is a little sweet, with some caramel and chocolate notes coming to it. Taste has a bit of a bite to it, with some nice sweet caramel flavors coming through a bit. Decent drink.

Bottle: Poured with a huge off brown head that kept coming, orange brown in color otherwise. Aroma is weeds and grass with some bark. Taste is gritty grassy and malt.

Pours clear brown with a finger of off white head. Smell is a bit fruity and nutty. Not very strong. Taste is a bit off, caramel, weird sweetness to it, bit of nut in the finish, just odd.

Medium brown, bright and amber when held up to a soft light. Smallish tan head. Aroma is sweet, light caramel. Flavor is a grainy sweetness with a well-integrated grassy/floral hops. Nutty. Touch of roast. Good.

Bottle served in an English pint. Pours amber-brown with a creamy light tan top. Average retention, minimal lacing. The nose is fragrant with lightly roasted caramel malts and prickly hops, but its neither dense nor complex. Sweet caramel flavor. Light-medium body, thin-oily texture that coats the tongue. This is a smooth, sweet, and easy drinking.

Clear amber brown with a frothy beige head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of nut, citrus, biscuity malt. Taste is also nutty with a medium caramel body, hops are pronounced in this brown. Body is slightly on the thin side, carbonation is lively.

12 oz. bottle- Pours dark brown with little head, aroma is brown sugar. The taste is a sweet nutty flavor with a strong brown sugary taste, not bad.

12oz bottle pours deep clear copper with white head. The aroma has roasted malts, some caramel as well as notes of dark fruity esters mixing with chocolate, actually lots of chocolate. The taste nice fairly rich and loaded up with chocolate rimmed with notes of caramel maltiness. By midway some roasty malts join in as well as a mild background of dark fruitiness. Nice tasting beer put I think some notes pull it a bit out of style (which isnít a big deal to me). Enjoyed it.

Draft, pours a brown body with an off white head. Caramel malts, mild roast, a bit sweet with a light caramel tone. Cereal and grain notes, a mild earthiness to finish. Average.
