Commercial Description:
A complex mash makes this beer truly unique for such a classic style with such a simple name. We combine two types of sweet caramel malt, lightly roasted biscuit and victory malts for depth and richness and of course highly roasted chocolate malt for perfect brown ale color and flavor. Magnum hops lend a clean and balancing bitterness and Mt. Hood hops are added plentifully especially at the end of the boil for an excellent flavor and aroma.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear brown color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty caramel aroma with some nutty hints. Sweetish malty nutty flavor with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD and Bikesandbeer for sharing. Pours an amber-brown with a white ring. Sweet, malty aroma, with molasses and dates notes. Taste is sharp and toasty sweet, of malt and molasses. Lingering sweet toasty malt flavors. Decent brown ale.

Dark brown with red highlights. Very little haed and lacings. Aroma is floral and sweet. Taste is bitter at first with a strong roast malt backing. A minor cocoa flavor emerges but the dark bitter hops keep it under control. Slightly too much carbonation for my taste. Otherwise a real nice Brown Ale.
