1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 omhper (15964) - Stockholm, - DEC 28, 2006
Bottled at Sicosis, Santiago. Very dark brown, creamy beige head. Vinegary and plastic. Fairly light bodied. I can barely sense some earthy malt underneath the heavy citric infected sour flavours. Obviously problematic.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 KingGambrinus (117) - Santiago, CHILE - MAR 22, 2009
Draft. Dark brown colour with a creamy beige head. Aroma of malt and some coffee. Malty flavor, coffee and a bit of citrus. Light to medium bitterness, easy to drink. Medium body and thin, I think it’s too light.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bluevegie (2930) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 20, 2008
Tried in Chile back in May.Very dark brown body with good but short lasting head. Wasn’t too fussed with the aroma again, grainy chocolate taste but I struggled to finish it.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 kuleko (5) - Santiago, CHILE - FEB 27, 2008 does not count
Bottle, supermarket. Very dark colour. Sweet coffee and malty aroma. Taste is a little smoky, with a touch of coffee and malt. Medium body. Weak finish, not good.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Chelita (13) - CHILE - FEB 24, 2008
Has a brown, very dark, almost black color. The aroma is strong, caramel and something citric at heart. (not good). The flavor is slightly bitter with something smoky, strong. Another one more of the bad Chilean beers of microbreweries.
1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 TheGrandMaster (2313) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 9, 2007
Bottle, dark with a bubbly beige head. A sweetish caramal malt aroma, some roasted notes, but all with a touch of metallicness. A syrupy malt flavour, some toasted notes come through further in the swallow, but there is a thin mouthfeel with an unfortunate tinniness lurking in the background. The aftertaste is also quite unpleasant.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Sully (1378) - Potts Point, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA - JUN 5, 2006
OK, the day or two after wandering out with Lilith and Panzerfaust I wanted to check out the Jumbo supermarket’s beer range. Not bad for Chilean standards. So, across the road I go and this one is on tap. Certainly better than the lager but still somewhat cloying annd sticky, as is an incorrectly brewed beer. Once again not too bad for the offering but the similar faults to the stablemate are there. Clearly the yeast for both beers is the same with this one having some more crystal malt with some black added to give the smoky and malt bitterness hop profile.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lilith (242) - Santiago, CHILE - MAY 20, 2006
Strong dark brown colored with no red hints at all. Sweet aroma with notes of coffee and toasted grains. Off-white head that quickly disappeared--actually on the way to our table for I saw when they poured it, and it HAD one--, thin lacing and film. Very very very smooth flavor, citrusy and with papaya fruit notes. Light to medium body, extremely softly carbonated. The finish is slightly toasted. Its aftertaste is syroupy.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Panzerfaust (509) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - MAY 13, 2006
Draft: Shows a deep brown, almost black color. Served with no head, it has a nice off-white lacing.
Aroma is pretty much like the "Budapest Lager", with Cascade hops shining over everything else. Weird citric nose and some olives, soy sauce and a difuse hint of smoke. Hell, this Dunkel smells like any microbrewed Pale Ale of Chile.
Flavor is slightly bitter with a touch of lime and smokey, toasted traces in the end with a medium lasting aftertaste. I don’t know why the brewers make this beer so similar to the Lager.
Drinkable but shy, boring and nothing special. Watery texture. A little bolder and thicker than it’s sister but that’s all.
