COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Geruch hefig, fruchtig bananig, Geschmack hefig fruchtig, reife Bananen, leicht würzig.

barva: žlutozlatá klaná. Vůně: příjemná ovocná s nádechem grapefruitu a banánu. Pěna: hustá, držící. Chuť: výborná osvěžující pšenice, střední říz, příjemná vyvážená hořkost a chmelový dozvuk.

Banana and strawberry cake in the aroma. Beautiful white head, very dark yellow wheat beer. Flavor mostly banana. Not very exciting, but to drink this at the brewpub itself is a little special.

16/04 A 0.5 l fliptop bottle from Ammersin liquor store, Vienna. It poured hazy orange body with medium to big head. Fine weizen aroma, bubblegum, banana some fine spices and cloves. Flavor was slightly on sweet side, chalk, bread, bubblegum. A bit empty for a weizen, let’s say thin to medium bodied with shorter and quite weird sourish finish, volatile acids that ruins this whole impression. Decent, refreshing and tasty anyhow.

Heavy got this in Vienna, thanks! 0.5l. Poured a murky orange-golden body with a lasting thick white head, lovely. Fresh banana, caramel and vague cloves in the nose. Fresh bready tangy taste, light bubblegum, very light peach. Very drinkable, refreshing, not complex.

draught@Braukunst Live! München 2013. - Pours a nice and cloudy yellow-orange, fizzy soapy foam, fresh slightly sourish citrus wheat aroma, mirrored in the light wheat, citrus-dominated taste and pleasant light mouthfeel. Cannot remember any clove or banana, always a plus for me to want to revisit a wheat. Might have been the contrast to all the stout samples, I had before, but this was immensely drinkable and refreshing. Looking forward to revisiting in summer, and on-site if the occasion occurs.

Tap. Fairly spicy wheat beer notes, metallic yeasty side. Medium to light body, sparkly mouthfeel, relatively light body.

On draught at the brewery tap. The menu suggest that Hell and Original are different beers. This was Original. Big banana, little clove, full-on wheat flavours but not so much in the follow-through. Claims to be authentically reproduced to the recipe and methods of 1901. I doubt it but it could be that the substitutions are legit.
