Bottle. Pitch pour with a ruby gleam, non-existent light brown head. Bubbly, sugary cola smell. Tastes really strange...I’m blaming it on the use of Altbier instead of a PIls. Bitterness and sugary sweetness, I suppose a little bit of malt and cola. Might be unique among the cola mixes, better than many.

Iv never had a beer with cola in it i dont think, and well i dont think i will again. Sweet caramel cola malts in taste and aroma lead for harsh drinking.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very dark, clear colour with a reddish glow - very cola like. Head is dense and creamy. The flavour can politely be described as odd. The bitterness of the Altbier combined with the spicy sweetness of the cola is very, very....unusual. A unique experiece, but not one that I would really like to have again. 290102

rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2005
Can, from a shop. Ruby red, quickly evaporating white head and low condition. Gentle cola aromas and little else, in the mouth it comes across as a slightly bitter cola with some background chalkiness. Gentle fruity cola sweetness in the finish. Who drinks this stuff?

Tastes ok, it tastes like lemon cola and beer, with the cola dominating. Would drink again.

Ungstrup (23967) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 13, 2004
The aroma is of hops, malt and cola. The color is brown and it has a fine beige head. The flavor is very camarelic and of cola with a weird note of hops and a dry end and thin body.

Brown coloured. Spicy cola aroma. Some sweetness and some bitterness in the flavour. It tastes better than plain cola.

Cola aroma and flavor. Sweet with a hint of soapiness. The cola flavor has priority, the altbier is hardly noticed.

Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - AUG 2, 2003
60% Diebels Alt and 40% Cola ruby-brown colour, few foam, earthy, cola nose, sweet and sparkling, the finish is a mix of cola and malt - drinkable but I still wonder why I'm rating it ...
