Diekirch Bière de Noël (Christmas)

Best way to describe this is "not bad for ABInbev". Very little to distinguish it as an Xmas beer, no noticeable spice or uptick in flavor aside from some faint caramel notes.

Bottle. Mahogny with a small tan head. A hint of hay and roast. Sweet and roasted flavours. Rather flat. Boring, boring, boring.

Poured a dark brown, with decent head. abit of roasted malt(Very little) and some faint bitterness, but overall, a boring beer, drinkable, but boring.

Looked, smelled, and tasted like a normal dark beer. Can’t really detect any "Christmas" character. No surprises either good or bad.

Poured a dark black brown with a creamy light brown head. Light sweet malt and hops aroma. Sweet caramel/mylasis malt flavor.

Clear, black body. Creamy off-white head. Good lace. Pilsener-like aroma of hops, yeast, soap ... Lightly sweet flavour. Like a pilsener with some more maltiness. Not really bad, but certainly not great.

Huge brownish/amberish head over clear chestnut-foxy beer. Toasted/roasted malts, sweet and a fresh, parsley-like aroma. Ends more sweet with a hint of liquorice and overyear hops. Bitterish onset, hops are there, as well as dry speculoos, however very little spices. Parsley, again. Dark malts, roasted; sweet-ish at most. Retronasal some dark chocolate-y hints. Medium bodied, but the restsugars help to fill in. No new aftertaste, fading main flavours. Actually, I don’t think this is anywhere bad. I wonder what my fellow raters saw ill in it. It’s just - unexciting.

Amberorange colored with a tan head. Sweet sugary aroma with grass and toffee tones and some fruit. Thin sweet grassy flavor with brown sugar notes. Dry. Not very good.
