2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Straightforward amber-coloured beer with cream white head and brownish but otherwise rather pale amber colour. Nutty aroma with hints of pear, peach, caramel and the ’death’ smell of pasteurization. Neutral taste, lightly malty, bit nutty, bit caramelly, some dried fruits in the background, thin and watery mouthfeel, light hoppiness in the finish. I cannot understand why Luxembourg, despite its proximity to Belgium geographically and culturally, would settle for such boring beers.

Dark amber colour. The beer starts malty-sweet, not very intense. The mainpart is malty-sweet, slightly bitter. The aftertaste is medium, tends to be watery, sweet-malty, highly drinkable. --> ok, but could be a bit deeper in aroma. --> 8/12/8/8

Pours copper with white head. Sweet malty and medium bitter beer. Definitely one of the better local brews that they sold in the Luxembourg restaurants and pubs.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
25.09.2013. 0,33l Bottle. Amber colour with white head. Faint weak malty aroma. This beer has a great amber colour but the taste does not reflect that. Weak malty aroma. There are some malt sweetness. Notes of caramel. Very soft almost without bitterness.

On tap @ V&B Toulouse Sud. Sweet, sugary, artificial flavours, pours amber to copper, quite clear, with vanishing off white head. Taste is watery. Weird aftertaste. Poor one.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
With food in a riverside restaurant in Esch-Sauer, Luxembourg. A reddish, sweetish brew tasting of caramel & fruit. The flip-top bottle and grandiose name belie the rather bland and uninspiring beer contained within. I thought Grand Cru meant exceptional quality? The big boys are conning us again.

Vacation 2013 @ Virton, Belgium. 33 cl. bottle @ the bungalow, bought @ the Cactus supermarket in Redange, Luxembourg.
Copper with a thin white head. Malty caramel aroma. Bittersweet taste. Quite boring actually.
