2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap @ V&B Toulouse Sud. Sweet, sugary, artificial flavours, pours amber to copper, quite clear, with vanishing off white head. Taste is watery. Weird aftertaste. Poor one.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
With food in a riverside restaurant in Esch-Sauer, Luxembourg. A reddish, sweetish brew tasting of caramel & fruit. The flip-top bottle and grandiose name belie the rather bland and uninspiring beer contained within. I thought Grand Cru meant exceptional quality? The big boys are conning us again.

Vacation 2013 @ Virton, Belgium. 33 cl. bottle @ the bungalow, bought @ the Cactus supermarket in Redange, Luxembourg.
Copper with a thin white head. Malty caramel aroma. Bittersweet taste. Quite boring actually.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Copper and light amber coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, raisins and a hint of metal - not too bad. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavours with caramel, light earth, raisins and some light pit fruits with a rather strong alcohol and cereal note and some light sweetness at the end. Aftertaste shows alcohol, bread, yeast, cereal, grain and not too pleasant sweetness. Overall, nice to try here locally, but not worth buying nor trying unless it’s your only one from the Grand Duchy. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Alima Supermarket in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg earlier today on 17-August-2013 for €0,96 sampled in my hotel room here in Luxembourg City on 17-August-2013.

Flaska av en arbetskamrat. Rödgyllene i färgen med vitt skum. Karamell och lite alkohol i doften. Unken malt i smaken, karamell och ganska söt, liten alkoholisk eftersmak.

330 ml bottle. BB A/13. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear amber colour with a small to average frothy white head.
Caramel malt and lots of sweetness in the aroma.
The flavour is pretty much the same. Yuk! There’s nothing grand cru in this. Too sweet. And there’s some metal in there too.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
swing top bottle 330ml. -Clear amber coloured, almost no visual carbonation, small off-white head, light caramel nose. Sweet malty, light grainy and quite sugary and syrupy taste with random bitterness in the finish. Not bad, just too sweet.
