2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Cletus (6177) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 13, 2008
Kind of strange that they’d call this a Grand Cru. I was expecting something more Belgian in style and flavor. Pours reddish brown with a thin tan head. Smells of sweet caramel, roses, hints of fruit. Tastes sweet and fruity with some earthiness on the finish. Mouthfeel is flat with a finish that leaves some residual sugary hints.

A good taste, as an amber beer.
Too much bitter for me.
A lack of bubbles.
