red éric (1379), montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 19, 2007 Cloudy honey gold hue, with a thick white head, with a wheaty malty, citrusy nose, with some lemony acidic fruitiness, with a subtle tartness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a zesty, lime, fruity, wheaty character, with a spicy floral hop mintiness, with some fruity, citrusy acidic flavors, giving a faint tartness accent, with a subtle anise spiciness, quite stange!, leading towards a lemony acidic, mild tartness and sourness finish. aerosol999 (113), Quebec, Canada Sep 18, 2007 9mo aged cask at the brewpub, DDC 9th anniversary
Appearance: Hazy yeelow gold with a goodly amount of thick white head.
Aroma: Sharp and acidic, but clean acidic smooth and lemony. Very appealing.
Flavour: Zap! Clean and smooth sourness which doesn’t hide the wheat character of the beer. Lots of citrus peel. No bitterness, no hop flavour. Lemon yogurt.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied acid and smooth.
Overall: Clean and refreshing very nice a great berliner weisse (but more alcohol) smooth citrusy and lactobacillus or sour mash probably. Un peu déçu! mds (2111), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 26, 2005 draught. light white-golden body with no head. aroma has some tart apple wheat properties. body is soft and thin with lemon tartness. it’s mediocre and I’d much rather have one of their other berliner weisses. DougShoemaker (2553), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 20, 2005 Fruity, apple? aroma, hazy yellow/brown, almost no head. Tastes like non-alcoholized cider. Sweet. Ordinary.
