Sample on tap at What’s Brewing BF, Stavanger. A standard American IPA with its notes of pine and grapefruit. Good beer, but not so different from other IPAs.

Nez: Fruits tropicaux, agrumes, résineux Bouche: Fruit de la passion, ananas, pamplemousse, résineuse, onctueuse, amertume franche qui reste en longueur avec une sécheresse dans le final. Une excellente American IPA

Pours cloudy yellow with very thin white head. Nose is citrus (mainly grapefruit). Aromas are resinous pine, grassy hops, some tropical fruits. Average carbonation, oily texture. Long bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ What’s Brewing 15. Pours golden, with a finger thick creamy head. Aroma is hoppy peach, mango and pineapple, as well as a nice malty back with toffee and caramel. Creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet tropical hops with peaches, as well as notes of pineapples, notes of grass and wine gums, with a sweet malty back.

A fantastic IPA. Pours golden, thin but persistent head. Floral/citrus nose. Lots of hops from the get go and a nice lingering aftertaste. Daftly drinkable despite the abv. I confess my obsession with DdC beers but on this evidence it’s completely justified.

Bottle shared at a small tasting. Thanks biirusaikou! Pours a fairly clear golden straw color with a nice soapy white head. Wonderful aromas of white grapefruit, citrus pith and lemon zest with some crackery malt. Average body with medium to medium high carbonation. Wonderful zing on the palate with the grapefruit and lemon zest really standing out. Some light herb and grass character as well. Bitter finish with more citrus. Wonderful.

Bottle@gallows. Light orange yellow hazy. Hoppy, robust caramelly aroma. Pines, grapefruits, green citrus, some sweet fruits. Medium bodied, nicely balanced. Bitter, fruity juicy, slight sour-apricotty sweetness. Finishes clean, bitter. A very nicely balanced robust ipa.
