COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Keg at BD ShepBush. Pale orange/burnt gold, fluffy off white head that stays pretty well. Aroma of peach, grapefruit, grassy hops, resin, some light malt. Tastes moderate sweet light toffee and bready malt, big bitterness, fruity and some floral. Medium body, oily, moderate carb, long bitter finish. Very assertive yet still easy to drink. This is a very accomplished beer, really excellent.

Bottled at SBWF. Cloudy straw colour, small head. Rich hay and grapefruit aroma. Mid dry with medium-full body and soft, chewy mouthfeel. The juicy, deliciously citric hops are embraced by solid, vital, bready malt. Balanced, yet powerful bitterness. Among the very best IPAs I’ve had.

Total lack of aromatic/flavor hops from my perception. Palate is a tad heavy, with prickly carbonation. I may be being severe, as this was still perfectly drinkable beer, but I was expecting much much more from such a collaboration. 2. On cask at DDC. Completely different beer. One of the good looking cask I’ve had. Thick white foam and opaque beige. Aroma is mini Heady Topper, very fruity (tropical fruits), grassy and resinous hops. Taste is good but more tame. Good cask IPA with no major flaws. Could be more bitter and have more expressive flavors.

SWBF 2014. Pours hazy orange with no head. Aromas of orange, honey, citrus, spices and slight funk. Taste is orange, honey, citrus with some spices and slight funk. Mouthfeel is smooth with low carbonation.

341ml bottle. Deep gold, white head. Hoppy, resiny aroma, grapefruit, spruce, light caramel, passion fruit, white peach, grass. Dry, medium bodied, mid to high bitterness, creamy CO2. Hoppy, herbal, resiny taste, caramel, spruce, orange peel, grass, yeast, apricot. Slightly astringent, harsh finish, but otherwise pretty solid. (2014-10-14)

Bottled@SBWF2014. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, floral and quite nectary and honeylike with some slight spiciness. Flavour is fruity, floral, mild wooden and resiny notes along with a pleasant maltiness to it.

Poors an orangish pale. Very strong hop nose a lot of grass notes with a hint of citrus. Hops are strong from beginning. The malt character is a bit hidden behind the hops. A very nice ipa butua sing the tropical fruit notes and balance to be a personal favorite.

Ottima!!!

Bottle at Bellwoods. Unfortunately I didn’t ask about bottling date - it was on their menu. It came with a date of 6/14. Pours crystal clear golden orange, small off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly, good lacing. Aroma is herbal, spruce, dank wet leaves. Flavor is very light sweet, dry, light bitter, oranges, dank herbs. Medium light body, clean palate. Decent enough; can’t wait to try a fresher sample.

Spicy, lychee aroma with a smooth pineapple, apricot taste followed by a huge bitter finish that is a little out of place with the start of the beer. A reasonable version of this classic style. Rated by BrewTom
