COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Drank on tap (4 oz) at the Montreal brewpub on November 11, 2012. Honey blonde foggy, little head. Fresh green hop aroma, slightly fruity. The taste is the same, more efferversant, green and fruity bitterness. Nice green hops!

Bottle received from Winter Santa 2013/2014. Thank you pushkinwow! Bottled in April 2014. Pours vibrant hazy yellow with a frothy goldenish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of spotty trace on the glass. Smell is smell is tiny malty, slightly fruity and herbal with crackers, grapefruit juice, lychee, unripe mango, pine needles, freshly cut grass, resin, lemon balm, orange zest and hints of dark bread. Taste is bitter, fruity and herbal with crackers, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, lemon balm, pine needles, black currant leaves, minerals, unripe tropical fruit, lychee, orange zest, lemon zest and hints of dill and sweet basil. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly oily bitter, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter, fruity and herbal with crackers, freshly baked white bread, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, lemon balm, pine needles, unripe tropical fruits, minerals, orange zest and lemon zest. At this point this is a great IPA. Less than a month old I suspect this is amazing. If I’m lucky I get to try this fresh some day.

Pours light orange or burnt yellow with a thick white head. Translucent throughout. Aroma of orange citrus with some floral notes and a hint of pine or cedar. Taste is very smooth, matches the aroma, and carries the characteristic aftertaste of an IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

341ml bottle in Dieu Du Ciel tulip. let me start off by saying, WOW! i don’t often give perfect 5’s, but this one from DDC well deserves it. the colour is a glowing orange. it has a large frothy head and leaves lots of lacing. the hops just smack you in the face when you take a whiff, signature Centennial. up front, there’s a nice maltiness, but again, it’s the hops that dominate. grapefruit, orange peel, passionfruit, guava, pineapple, pine cone, all coming from the Citra, and an intense bitter finish that will probably linger for hours from the Simcoe. this IPA, along with Le Castor’s Yakima are 2 great example of Quebec IPA’s that can hang with the best of the US.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours bright orange with firm white head. Nose is all tropical fruit and citrus. Kinda like a fruit bowl! Taste is much the same. Heavy citrus, pineapple, passionfruit and peach. Ripper of an IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a very vibrant orange with a sticky white head. Nose is loaded with citrus and tropical fruits with heavy zest. So tangy! Very bright and juicy fruits. I like this a lot. Taste is very lime driven zest with loads of lemongrass, passionfruit, peach and pine right on the end. An absolute fruit bowl of an IPA. Standout beer

Pours hazy light gold colour with heavy frothed white head, laces well. Aroma is very strong floral, spruce, a bit of citrus. Taste is smooth, only a light bitter lingers at the end, surprising for a great 7% brew.

From a 341 ml bottle. Pours a hazy orange colour with a beautiful white head. Incredible fruity nose with lots of grapefruit and orange. Some caramel and bread notes too. Taste is fruity forward. Strong grapefruit notes followed by a hoppy bitterness. Less bitter than most other American IPA though. Perfectly balanced. One of the best IPA in Quebec!

Bottle. Gold with a white head that lasts quite well. Aroma of tropical fruit, pine, pepper, kumquats is fine but far from exuberant. Lightish, oily body, lowish carbonation. Sweet hay and kumquats, some tropical fruit, then pretty strong grapefruit and some pine in a fairly bitter dryish finish. Pleasant and gluggable.
