COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Drank on tap (4 oz) at the Montreal brewpub on November 11, 2012. Honey blonde foggy, little head. Fresh green hop aroma, slightly fruity. The taste is the same, more efferversant, green and fruity bitterness. Nice green hops!

Pours a sediment filled gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Candy corn and tropical fruit aromas. Full yet dry with sweet caramel upfront turning to passionfruit before the lasting citrus finish.

Clear, amber-orange, leaving as much sediment behind as possible. White head is small and recedes to a ring.
Heavily fruity nose has all the delightful cherries, oranges, limes, mangoes and lychee you could ask for. No alcohol, no heavy acidity and nicely attenuated, leaving only a brush of caramel malts to mix with the fruity hops. Great strength to it, as well, even after 3 months.
Bitterness, somewhat grassy, actually and with a touch of grapefruit pith to it. Caramel malts quite assertive, though not sweetness-wise, but rather leaving a bready, almost biscuity flavor. Fair amount of earthiness and moderate hop juiciness, though I’ll admit I was expecting a higher hop flavor to bitterness ratio based on the nose. The carbonation is perfect, tight and engaging, never allowing any malt sweetness to build up and bolstering the hop bitterness but also helping clear the palate on the end. Very well done IPA. Personally, I don’t like any non pale malts in my IPAs, and this is no exception (hate East Coast IPAs). But, I can appreciate how well-made this is. The aroma is divine, as is the mouthfeel and attenuation level. It’s also wonderfully devoid of pine sap and resin burn.
Thanks for the bottle, Martin!

UPDATED: APR 18, 2014 341ml bottle bottled Mar 9, ?14. Consumed Apr 11, ?14. Pours a hazy, light orange with a half finger, bubbly white head. Aroma has big notes of orange citrus, grapefruit, pine, resin, and is slightly floral. Taste is a pronounced bitter with lots of orange and grapefruit like a fruit juice. Resin and pine on the finish with a drawn out, bitter aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. Almost like it was on cask. Overall very tasty. A big floral fruit bomb with lots of orange and grapefruit. Worth having!

341 mL bottle courtesy of Raphael, served in a branded stem glass. Pours clear golden with a tall white head that fades slowly to a thin cover and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has beautiful notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit, and grass, along with resin, banana and flowers. The flavour is moderately bitter throughout with pine, resin, grapefruit peel and grass. The finish is long and hoppy with grapefruit, pine and a touch of pepper. On the palate it is light-medium in body with a dry texture and average carbonation. Overall, this is a very nice American-style IPA. It is bright and citrusy up front with an almost sweet aroma but progresses to a resinous bitter finish. Delicious. 2014-03-31

Bottle. Bright gold color with thick lace. Aroma is close to grapefruit juice and grass with a sweet punch of citrus.

Flavor is bright citrus, with some old cut grass, and light herbal hops. Nice array of hop flavors. Bitterness is lightly lingering with just the right amount of malt. If it’s this good in a bottle I bet it’s great on draft. Nicely made.

Peach, apricot. Lovely fruity malt, plenty of citrus hops, cake, bitter finish. Outstanding fruity IPA, so smooth and flavorful.
