Thanks to PaleAleRider for this one. Pours a hazy pale-golden colour with a huge head, actually my whole glass is all head at first pour. Fluffy, off-white, great retention and some foamy lace. Aromas of Pils hops, citrus, wtibier yeast, spices and grainy malts. Decent bite at first with sharp hops and spices. Citrus notes again and crazy carbonation continues. More of a hoppy pilsner than a witbier. Maybe became like this as cellared over a year.

Bottle. Cloudy, pale golden pour with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, pine, hints of citrus zest and slight herbal notes. Taste is fairly bitter, a bit more herbal and pine notes showing through. Not as good as the Trou Du Diable version, but still very tasty.

I haven’t finished reading Dante. This beer might but probably won’t motivate me to do so. Clear light golden body, white head, not long retention, some lacing. Yeasty grainy aroma, maybe some lactose and banana. Taste is an interesting sweet yeast and bitter medicinal, as well as strong sweet tropical fruit, guava and so on. Unique. Decent for a pilsener.

Pours a light yellow that leaves lacing. Aromas are sweet grains, cream, and dank hops. Flavours are sweet grains and bitter, dank, and fresh hops. Fantastic.

Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Peach on the nose, citrus, tangerine, clove. Strong fruit nose. Crisp citrusy taste. Medium dry hoppy finish. Medium body. Well balanced and nothing like other pilsners I had. Very good!!!

Bottle. Clear golden with beige head. Nice pilsner malt, grainy, light musty hop, moderate carbonation and mild.body, slightly bitter and quite dry on finish.

Appearance: very slightly hazy straw with one finger of loose white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: muted, bready malt, grassy hops, mild citrus. (7/10) Taste: mild sweet, moderately strong bitter. (8/10) Palate: light to medium body, moderate carbonation, crisp lingering bitter finish. (4/5) Not quite as good as the Trou du Diable version - at least, I found the Trou du Diable version to be slightly fruitier and hoppier. This is just as bitter, but the hops are coming through more as grassiness or earthiness, instead of tropical fruit. Really not getting the passionfruit or mango the label claims. On the plus side, this finishes strong as a really crisp and clean pilsener, with a nice lingering bitter finish. (15/20)

Tap at DDC Hazy straw pour Aroma is bready and fruity. Flavour is earthy, grainy/bready. Some honey but not sweet at all. Herbal hoppiness. Clean and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
